There was some creepy looking dude skulking in my backyard, trying to break in I think. I see him and yell at my mother to call the cops and open my door to be like "what the FUCK!?" (because most people in this situation aren't expecting confrontation.) He bolts like mad, and my dog and I are chasing after him. He has a substantial lead on me, and obviously my dog is faster, so while I'm chasing this motherfucker and gaining ground, I see him kicking the shit out of my dog again and again. I keep yelling for my dog to come back, but he seems pretty determined. So I'm running my lungs out, and I have one of those classic dream "slowdown moments" so I throw off my coat, the backpack I'm wearing, etc. I'm yelling at burglar dude to leave my dog alone, and screaming if he really wants to stop and get arrested. I woke up before I caught up to him, which pisses me off because it was a really distressing dream and I didn't even get the subconscious satisfaction of brutalizing that asshole.
