I dunno, they were consistantly good, but their sound did evolve quite a bit. I love Boy Named Goo, Dizzy and Super Star Carwash, but all for different reasons and in different ways. I think Dizzy would probably take it though.

To address the original post question, I believe it depends. Excercising your conscience and your empathy can be different. I'm temped to say that all conscienceness is empathy, but not all empathy is conscience. When deciding whether to commit a specific deed against someone, yes, you have been socially conditioned to believe it is universally 'wrong.' But when examining why society has chosen to teach us this you realise that it's because it hurts other people! Thus empathy has been engraiend into the collective conscience (read your Durkheim) of society.

Yeah Float was pretty awesome and I loved Reasons. But other than that Golden State was kinda bland. Solutions was a very nice way to start the record though. Also, I wasn't a big fan of Mouth, Communicator, X-Girlfriend and a few other tracks, but mostly I loved em.
