Agreed, I don't see how it affects anybody else whether or not homosexuals get married. I mean if we're going to start regulating that, we better start regulating inter-racial marriage because that would just lead to a confused child as well. The only thing that I can somewhat agree with is that if the church doesn't want to marry gay's, then they should have the right to refuse it.

No, thats the attitude of many Christians who are surpisingly enough not all German, nor do I think they alll are Nazis. The term Nazi refers to a politcial party that was in power in Germany in the early 30's to the mid-40's.

I remember hearing talk at the time of the last referendum(sp?) that if Quebec did seperate they would only have rights to the land that they owned when they joined Canada, not the land that was given to them by the Federal Government. Whether or not this is true, I've never really taken the time to explore, but it would make sense.

Ok, if you're going to start calling this guy a Nazi, you're going to basically have to call any German who was alive between 1939-1945 a Nazi. You presented a good article above showing many of the wrongs he's comitted, but being a Nazi isn't one of them. Let's step away from trying to pin a fascist label onto the new Pope, it just causes a knee jerk reaction.

Even if he did join it of his own 'free will', it's not like he had the advantage of hindsight to see the atrocities that the party was commiting. He would not be the first good man/woman to have been some how involved in with the Nazi's.

I'm also not that impressed with the choice of the new Pope, but keep in mind that a Pope like this is usually elected as an interim between 2 Popes who are meant to have a long rule. At 78 don't expect him to be around too long. As for the Nazi connection, I find it weak at best. I think the opponents of the new Pope are reaching with trying to bring that into play. We've been brainwashed to believe that anybody who was German during that time was automatically a Nazi. Many of these men/boys had to fight, and by not fighting they were putting there lives on the line. Just my 2cents.

Do they by law actually have to call it every 5 years? Or is that just a convention that's been accepted. I vaguely remember my first year poli-sci class saying something about Canada not having a law limiting how long a party can rule for (assuming it still has the confidence of the house). Seinfeld was great, but it ended really poorly. As for Married with Children, it was mindless stupidity, but it had it's moments. You can't compare the 2 shows.

Just wondering where everyones favorite time or place to listen to music is. Personally I like to listen to music in the car, or with my discman on. My favorite time is when I'm supposed to be studying.

I just saw it last night and it was terrible, I would have walked out except that I was meeting people after the movie and didn't want to hang out at the theatre for a couple of hours.

Does it really matter? People should just listen to what they like, regardless of what category it falls into.
