I think (hope) that matts just taking some time off and by god he deserves it if he wants to. As for making music, there would always be an emptiness for me when that time comes when there wont be another new album, since no ones music has effected my life as matts...

i was so pissed when he cancelled the buffalo show..heartbroken even. But i vowed i was going to see him and so we drove up to t-town. It was a good time tho

in the case of nicklelback and all those generic rock bands i do think it a case of oversaturation indeed gotta respect the david bowie saturnine ;)
