So now that they are gone from Epic they seem to be making good music again, what do you think of the new single World Wide Suicide... "they seem to be making good music again?" actually, they never really stopped making good music. just most people haven't really taken notice. haven't had an amazingly solid album since yield in my opinion, but no disrespect to binaural or riot act at all. but anyway, the new song's great. pretty much a re-vamped resurgence of their older stuff. more of a message behind it, though. hopefully, the new album will show that even though they've been low on the radar, they're still amazing talents, and a force to be reckoned with.

i'm from america where it's kind of hard to find any matthew good cds in stores, most of them have the american version of beautiful midnight, if anything at all. by scouring ebay and other places, over time i've managed to find everything besides the tracks on the canadian version of beautiful midnight (which im debating over buying a second time just for 3 songs), and raygun which sometimes is on ebay but my account got suspended over some bullshit reason or something. so.. if i bought beautiful midnight again (off the official site) itd be $12 for 3 songs i dont have, and if i bought raygun itd be $7 for 3 songs i dont have (b/c two of those are on ghetto astronauts). i was just wondering if anybody would want to trade mp3s of those songs for anything else that they don't have. it's not that im lazy or anything, i just wanted to see if anybody could arrange a trade for the few things im missing.

i have all of the official mg/mgb cds besides raygun. is there anywhere to buy/download raygun, that one rare ep with enjoy the silence, any other b-sides, and the rest of the early demos without having to pay steep prices like ive seen some of these for on ebay? or anyone want to trade some of this stuff for official stuff? help would be appreciated. thx

welll... of course everyone's going to say "space oddity", "heroes", "china girl" and "changes". those are fairly obvious. from a real, true bowie fan who's been into his stuff since '93 and has everything he's recorded, here are some recommendations. SONGS: THE CYGNET COMMITTEE from space oddity BLACK COUNTRY ROCK from man who sold the world LIFE ON MARS? from hunky dory HANG ONTO YOURSELF/ZIGGY STARDUST/SUFFRAGETTE CITY/ROCK 'N ROLL SUICIDE from ziggy stardust (no better 4 songs to end a great rock album) SWEET THING/CANDIDATE/SWEET THING (REPRISE) from diamond dogs WIN from young americans STATION TO STATION from station to station SOUND AND VISION from low RED SAILS from lodger ASHES TO ASHES from scary monsters well that covers '69-'80, probably his finest/most creative period. some of his stuff in the '80s was sub-par but '90s found him gaining more creativity/edge. definitely pick up BEST OF BOWIE, DIAMOND DOGS, ZIGGY STARDUST, STATION TO STATION, LOW, HEATHEN. THE END.

the new beck is pretty excellent. sounds kinda like a mix b/w odelay & sea change in parts. but more around the lines of odelay in general then sea change or midnite vultures. but the sound of the album is overall more mature/structured then odelay. he's still up to his own tricks and still turns out a clever/quirky mix of rock/rap/blues/country/electronic/bossa nova/and several other genres of music. id highly suggest "girl", "broken drum" and "black tambourine" off the new one. the 8-bit remix of "hell yes" is pretty bangin' as well.

nine inch nails probably in fall of this year, beck possibly in the fall (if he comes around here) and seeing matthew good if he ever comes close enough to akron, oh that me and my significant other would take the trip and not worrying about almost a full day's drive (probably less than 8 hrs away, not more). but yes the first two shows should be amazing, we'll see about the third.
