  1. Yup, gotta reach for the stars, and here, there's at least a somewhat realistic chance of it being a true figure as well.
  2. You're welcome, from one fan to another, it's good to see that folks can discuss his music in a civil manner.
  3. Well, since the odds of ever meeting him or slim or none, the craziest thing I've done for Matt, or rather, to get more folks to listen to his stuff, was use tons of BM stuff in class to get folks to write about what they'd heard. This worked pretty well, and turned folks onto his music then.
  4. I may have saved the hub instructions to my computer. I'll check. Also, rare mp3s might also be found on common P2P programs. What rare ones are you looking for? I might just have them. Edit - Here's a URL for reference - http://24.141.204.54/mghub/mghub.htm Basic instructions: Download DC++ Enter Hub addy - 24.141.204.54:1979 Download files from folks I never had any luck with the Hub, but others have. Apparantly, it's down for a bit or something.
  5. I'll go with over a million, it might be an insane thought, but I'd like to think that at least that many folks enjoy his music.
  6. I downloaded this, and MG on ETalk via 49music, good stuff. Definitely worth the small wait it took to have the downloads finish up.
  7. Two totally different sounds...I'll go with WLRRR, as it mixes great rock, which was minimally used in Avalanche, with some slow ballads, that permeated that album.

    MG on my wall

    That looks awesome, good work!
  9. I read them WAY back when, I shudder to think of how they've aged though.
  10. Well, you can transfer it through AIM person-by-person, or put it up on a file sharing network. YIM could also work, but there are file exchange limits there that aren't there with AIM.
  11. I can't wait to see this thing.

    DVD

Same here. I've made a few MG video CDs, and would love to see a DVD made.
  13. Times like this make me wish I still got MuchMusic...
  14. He can write great songs, and his guitar skills compliment his song-writing skills. Essentially, he seems to be as skilled as he needs to be to play the songs he wants to play.
  15. The only insert my jewel case copy had was something telling me to support music.

    Matt's wife

Before that gallery, all I've seen of her was IAWCC vid stuff, neat.
  17. Yeeouch, hopefully, he'll be able to recover from it well.
  18. I'm also a late bloomer fan, as I first was exposed to MG's stuff through MuchMusic, namely, the Strange Days video, which caught my attention. Later, the Future is X-Rated one had me hooked, and the Anti-Pop video sealed the deal, I was officially a fan. I got the U.S. version of BM from Best Buy, and haven't looked back.
  19. I like the video, being able to watch them on my TV via an MPEG through my DVD player rules, as does being able to freeze frame it and catch some of the little details thrown in. Oh, and if anyone would like the vid, and can't get it to load on the site, I've got three versions: the .MOV from the site in high quality, an AVI taken from that, and an MPEG taken from that.
  20. I believe HMV's site still has the original version of BM, although I got my copy on eBay, so if you don't have it, try getting it through HMV first, and then eBay.

    MG Merch

Well, they look bad on me too, but they're comfy.
  22. I got into MGB through MuchMusic, and have had good fortune finding it online. By the way, Amazon's $27 price would have included shipping, as it would have been nixed due to the over-$25 price. I went with MapleMusic, as it was the cheapest, including shipping, and gave the option of getting an autographed copy.
  23. I'll go with being equally jealous of both, congrats on that stuff, and welcome here, fellow new guy.
  24. I don't play jazz, but I do enjoy listening to it. Always a great pick-me-up style of music.

    MG Merch

Nice shirts, and I'll be sure to get them in XL when they're $10. I'm lanky, and love baggy as hell shirts.
