i just listened to annabelle again ... it has that hotel bar lounge feel to it where there's only two people in the band... a drummer and a keyboardist ala the swingers movie... i think he must have been playing around with garageband and drum samples. it's an ok song overall, but imo, not one of his better ones...

these pop on ebay a lot and you can still get them usually from amazon.com as well... and i'm a fan and have pretty much all of matt's stuff as well... but three copies of the same special edition... danger wil robinson...

i think the song is pretty rockin'. he's definitely progressing in the same vein from the last album... hope to catch some live shows this year!

I like the song quite a lot and the video is good but not excellent... i have it on one of my monitors blasting and it reminds me of those old VHS videos you can purchase that shows a fireplace or fish tank that you play at parties or holidays... ;)

I saw that he hinted he may put those out again... perhaps in a more limited release of the best of cd along with a second cd with the b-sides and videos... have seen more of those kinds of cd's or cd's with a dvd in them lately... either way, glad i have the original version! ;)

If you aren't going to run a mic tower... then do what i do... I have a sony minidisc player as well and use it to record live shows. I use a Sony ECM-717 microphone and run the cable up my shirt and either put clip it to my collar (it has a clip) or if you wear a hat, you can clip it to that as well without looking too obtrusive. Be close to the stage, but if you can't get a decent spot near the speakers, then try to center yourself... And FLAC or SHN (shorten) formats are much better than mp3's. Check out etree.org for more information on those formats... you may find some nice live shows to download from their ftp servers as well.
