I should clarify, that this isn't one fo those attacks at them, its really more a comment on the comments. Jenn can strip all she wants, It's the comments that followed that bother me. I see matt's comment, "I can't believe that people are buying this crap." So maybe its plainly untrue, but now I gotta say the winds have been taken from my sails on this argument.

Yeah, I know bashing their blogs is a bit overdone but I can't help myself here. The most recent entry of Jenn's is fucking deplorable. Sure, who the fuck cares, its some 19 year old she'll never know face to face and who cares what I think. But then we get to the comments; "leave it to raw Canadian talent to show the Americans how its done!", tsk tsk for losing all your prize money but you showed them americans about a thing or two. yay", etc. That should speak for itself. The only thing she showed the americans was her tits (I'm assuming since she won the prize), and in doing so she simply sunk to their level. There is simply no pride in stripping, only a show of the degradation of the individuals values as well as the patrons. Unbelievable.

A lot of people on this board need to find a life outside of Matthew Good, (both the person and the artist)/Matthew Good Band. I know everyone will emiediately say, "fuck that, thats not right at all, I have a life outside of it". But really, just be sensible and a little criticla of the fact that you may go to his blog everyday or jenns blog everyday or care if he postes pics of his gear or his dogs or himself.

I don't see why Matt should be the one to back down and take it like a man. Why is the responsibility not on those who provoke? Especially on Jenns blog, the 66+ comments of sheer idiocy run rampant were just too much. Easily the most blatant proof for what Matt has said about the internet and a grand majority of the users of a certain age group. And its no coincidence that the majority of the idiocy on the net is put there by that age group. Theres tonnes of other artists and random people, who have message boards and blogs, that have the same opinion of the internet, the people using the internet, the music industry, iraq anything. Why not hunt them down and fuck around on their blogs too? Maybe people just come home after a day of being forced to act mature and hop on the computer and let out all that penned up energy. Too much misdirected time. Atleast all the time Matt spent on the net was bringing some good articles to light. And cut the shit with the "true fan" comments. You could know the words to all his songs, have bought all the shit universal took most profit from anyways, and not have 'failing the roarschach test' mean a tenth of what it means to someone who downloaded some bad quality version of it. But of course, all these analyses, rebuttles and oh so awe-inspiring comments are futile.

Whats happening in terms of a new album? Is there anywhere with news of them since their sites all but been abandoned.

I did really want to get into this, and my getting into won't change anything, but hey, I'll have voiced my opinion and thats what counts. I really disagree with the notion of "worthy fans" in the scenario that he decides to use username and passwords. I think that would almost be missing the point, I mean if he wants to inform people, which I gather he does, then why choose a small number of people to educate? It's kinda of funny you know. I'm in a young band and I've got a young blog and we want more hits, we want more fans and now Matt's in a position where he can limit his fan base? Its kinda funny in an angering sort of way. If he's not getting viruses or anything from the nonsense posters, which seem to be eliminated anyway now, then I think he's got the chutspa (I think thast how its spelled, pronounced Hootspa) to take it and ignore it. In addition, the majority of the people posting on the site are really not saying "Fuck you matthew good, your a terrible person and your wife blah blah blah". Just put up a fake email on the site if thats the issue, anyone close to him should know his address by now (I don't), and anyone who has something worth saying can leave it in a comment. I'm just repeating myself here. I don't know why I like Matt's Blog. Perhaps its knowing that someone does act and care and allows others to act and care and discuss. He creates the environment for enlightenment, and I value that environment, so it is important to me to have access to it, and if he decides to no longer provide that, well I can't blame him be cause there are so many other people that don't provide/create it, but on the other hand Matthew Good never was in the majority. Yeah, maybe this isn't really political at all, but political people have political sites and political sites have historical facts. I need the history of the parliament building itself in victoria. Its an analysis of the architectural techniques used. I need to know what the economy, the city was like when it was build. I need to know the architectural influences on it. I'm strapped for information, and its due tomorrow morning, (monday). I've been searching forever, and can't find anything. ANY help is much appreciated.
