Indeed I have - it was very, very intense and unusual. But Joseph Gordon-Levitt is absolutely mesmerizing in it. I don't know exactly how the rating system in Canada works, but when you rent it make sure you rent the equivalent to an NC-17 rating from the MPAA. Because places like Blockbuster in the states won't carry NC-17 movies, so the producers have to do a hack edit to get it down to an R (grrr).

There's Something About Mary.

Okay - well first off it takes place over a decade ago - during the (1st) Gulf War... And I don't think that there has ever been a theatrical film made that is pro-war... and third - who gives a fuck if it is?

I saw the trailer a few days ago and can't wait to see it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (the kid from 3rd Rock) has been doing a lot of really interesting work recently, like Manic and Mysterious Skin, I can't wait to see more of what he does in the future.

It was so well planned, executed and directed. I had read the script (it's been on-line for a long time) and wondered how they hell they managed to spend $50m on it (Ewan McGreggor doesn't cost that much) but now I see where it went. I feel kinda bad for it though; it's such a unusual movie, and they obviously had no idea how to market it, so so far it has made very little money. Definitely worth checking out, just be of open mind.
