I don't adore it, but I do like it. To me, they are just a bunch of guys who love to play music, and that really comes thru. It's not pretentious at all, like a lot of bands whose first album is big, but at the same time, they didn't just make the same record again. Plus, it is good driving music, and I make 100 round trip commute 3 - 4 times a week, so I need a lot of new music to keep me sane.

First of all - this is probably the greatest bored thread ever - just wish there was a way for the albums not to expire, but o well.... My first contribution is Voxtrot. They have an album coming out next month - this is their first 3 EPs... I adore them. Download

Lately I've been into Margot and the Nuclear So & So's, Camera Obscura, Dispatch, Field Music, Jarvis Cocker, Jens Lekman, and Voxtrot....

I've got about 40gigs back on my computer now (30 of which lives on Thel, my ipod)... it died last summer, so I still have to dig out old drives to put back all my music.... I always keep all my music - never know when you'll want it.

Just got the new Kings of Leon and Modest Mouse, Jarvis Cocker, Jens Lekman, the Voxtrot EPs, and a record by Mirah. I have an emusic subscription, so I get 75 songs a month from that, which fills my indie needs, and then I use allofmp3.com for my mainstream music stuff (so I go thru a lot of music)

I've been trying to find more female music lately - I am horrified about how much of my music is by guys! Lots of good stuff has been mentioned (Rilo Kiley/Jenny Lewis, Sia, Aimee Mann, Go Sailor!, Goldfrapp) I've recently found: Camera Obscura, Laura Nyro, The Essex Green, Cat Power, Christine Fellows, Frou Frou/Imogen Heap, Heavenly, Joanna Newsom, Mates of State, Save Ferris, Stars, Telepopmusik, Vikki Carr, Heartless Bastards, Gossip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I just got an album by Mirah, but haven't really listened to it properly yet...
