Wow, holy crap. I've lived in BC all my life and never glimpsed one. And I grew up in serious Rattlesnake country as well and didn't see any of those either. How uneventful. Hmm, over here they close off entire trail systems and campgrounds if there's bears wandering around.

Hah, well, I guess so. Don't they normally close campsites when there's a lot of bears in the area? That wouldn't really have stopped me, if I was with people at least.... I think everyone gets a little weirded out alone in the woods in the middle of the night.

This is truth. What's wrong with wandering around campgrounds in the middle of the night? Some rather good times can be had... especially with some booze in you. Girls help too. Ones that aren't related. lol
