I was under the impression that Simple Plan is not real punk. More lik that annoying emo stuff like Panic at the Disco and Fallout Boy. Anyways, I'm not a punkster by any means, but you can't go wrong with the Clash or the Ramones, if the kids are calling them punk these days.

It depends. Bloc Party's remix album looks interesting because they had different people remix every single song on the album, while DFA1979 just did a few songs over and over. I've seen this with other artists too, Feist for example.

I'm hearing Viscera Eyes on myspace and I love it. It's cool when he sings in Spanish. This track is also really restrained and conventional for them. I like it. As cool as their experimentation is, I've always preferred their more accessible songs to just listen to. Hmm, it's also a really short song if the one on myspace is the song in its entirety. I'm looking forward to this album after hearing this.
