  1. I've gotten pitchforks through the eyes and my face melted off from acid. Good times. The Acid is definitely intense. Las Plagas taking your head is also pretty intense. I was insanely dissapointed with some of the special deaths, especially the cieling puzzle room. That sucked.
  2. Same please. [email protected] I think I could do better then $18.
  3. Yeah. I've generally found that radio stations are some of the biggest cowards in the world. It's funny that they often set uplate night shows where they won't censor shit and ass and call themselves edgy yet whenever a controversial message comes out they duck under the desk and bury the album beneath the floorboards. The fact that they're all owned by the same conservative assholes doesn't really help.
  4. Even since Underdogs I've respected that he seems to be a well educated guy. The inferences, references, and metaphors in his songs always told me he was more then just a musican. As times gone on, I've actually somewhat blanded on Matt... he seems to be stuck in a loop where he's pissed off about politics, so he'll express an opinion and when people respond to it in a negative fashion, he'll get more pissed off. I remember an article in the Georgia Strait, around Avalanche I think, when he said "I can't be pissed off all the time. Eventually a guy's got to settle down and wear sports jackets." Since then, he's kinda gone back to the angry, pissed off Matt Good, and while his passion and conviction are admirable, I personally wish he would relax again. But yeah, I respect him, musically and ideologically.
  5. Your posts do? His parents died. Well, shit. I'll bake him some cookies. I don't know the names of his kids, and thus I am wrong and he is clearly a charitable superhero with inhuman generousity? Want to stop throwing random BS into a post and calling it a definitive arguement? The only possible point in that whole thing that would disuade my opinion is that he might be repressing his feelings. Well, when you feel strongly about things you often find it hard to repress those feelings. So to me, that means he's either a really good liar when he pretends he doesn't care, or a really good liar when he pretends he does care. So it's a coin toss. Like him, or not. You like him, I don't. Discussion over.
  6. I forgot Trainspotting on my list. That was pretty good too. And yeah, if I had to pick a favourite, I'd probably saw Blow too. Others movies may be better but if you had to watch a movie and had a few friends over, I'd watch Blow.
  7. One thing to be said for Resident Evil for sure is that it is not a childish game. It's definitely not for the weak of stomach.
  8. Ouch, I think someone hit a nerve! Eh. I didn't intend it as a personal attack, although when quoted it seems like it. I just meant that Bono seems fruadulent to me, and no amount of donation or face time will change that. As to... I find it odd that when Bono is off being citizen one, MTV happens to have a camera crew around.
  9. ...? Okay. I'm not slagging the Gamecube. I bought one and it's my favourite system, but, it has a distinct lack of truly awesome games. PS2 averages 1-3 must-own games a year, while Gamecube doesn't really have many must-own titles. I think that Resident Evil 4 is THAT game. Then... I traded in Paper Mario, as I played it and hated it. I never liked Metroid Prime. I thought Mario Party and Mario Tennis and Smash Brothers are pretty stupid. I got bored of Animal Crossing and traded it in. Most of those are considered to be among the GC's good games. I don't think any of them hold a candle to RE 4. Not even close.
  10. The game is amazing. It's the best Gamecube game out, though that's not really say much I suppose. It's a different ride from the other ones, which I enjoyed, but I think a stellar improvement in the gameplay department. I've beaten it and the ending sucked, but the bonus games and secret ending are really good and really fit with the rest of the franchise. The only bad thing about the game is that I rented it at Blockbuster and it's now 10 days overdue.
  11. Define charitable. If charitable is throwing money at a problem, then Bono is charitable. But anyone can throw money at a problem and say "Look! I'm a superhero!" and people will in turn say "Man, he's such a nice guy" and give him money for it. When you're richer then some small countries, a charitable donation a week is nothing. I'm talking about when he goes to events, and when he makes speeches. He gives me the impression that is a fabrication, as he seems to have no passion and when caught in the crowd, often looks bored, or even falling asleep. There's no doubt that he gives to charities and there is no doubt that that money helps, and maybe to you that's all that matters. I just doubt if he is sincere, or if he sees it as a method of self-promotion. And that's how I feel.
  12. ... Damn you! You bunch of Commies! Fine! Free Gmail for everyone! But don't blame me when they want to turn your homes into community housing! Gmail today, Marxism tommorow!
  13. I'll take 4.
  14. 1. Conservatives will never win. They'd sweep every election if they ran the Canadian parties in the US Elections because their smarmy and elitist atttitude is the closest we have to the two American political parties. The fact that they are way too far to the right from what the majority of Canadians feel means they will never get voted in, until they get enough money to start rigging elections. 2. I like a minority government because it ensures that the party essentially has to tow the middle line. There's no "mandate" as we see in the States, where the party can make it legal to kill gays, blacks, immigrants, but not babies. I lean pretty far to the left, but not so far left that I want a party like the green party to waste my money saving the emos... errr, emus, because then there'd be no emu burgers at the PNE and those are damn fine burgers. Essentially, I'd rather we had a weak and ineffective government then one that would transform the nation to fit them with their radical policies, from either side of the sprectrum. Plus, the liberals are secretly conservatives anyway.
  15. I have six invites if you'd part with some NF$. Just sned me 4-10 NF$, PM me how with how much you've sent, and your current email address, I'll invite you today.
  16. I'd vote Conservative. I prefer minority governments.
  17. Personally, there's always seemed something... fake, about Bono to me. Whenever I see him do a charity event or a political show it looks like he is phoning it in from home, whereas when he does concerts, he can turn up the intensity and not look like he's falling asleep. Might be my imagination, or the fact that he's slime. Not sure.
  18. People disagreeing with your beliefs and insulting your family are totally separate things. Some people do both and that should really go to show how solid ground their argument stands on when you reach that far for a reaction. Also, Matt (the non-good one), not everyone who defended MG blindly took his side or is a kiss-ass. But the man has a point when he says that none of us have walked in his shoes. The amount of hatred he received in his commentary was just baffling and I shudder to think what he received in private communications. Yeah, he may have overreacted from what we can see, but none of us know the whole story or are in a position to criticize.
  19. Gay bombs.
  20. Collateral is a wicked ass movie. I've never really liked Tom Cruise, although I can see how people might, but he was stone cold in that role, and the writing of the movie was really solid. Everything fits and there is very little filler. The fact that it's loaded to the gills with homicide doesn't hurt.
  21. When I first heard the song, I thought Matt was doing a duet with himself. The two guys have complimentary voices I think, and I can't really tell them apart. If I had heard more limblifter, I probably might be able to, but as is it's just harmoniously integrated into two great songs and a short comedy tune. ;)
  22. Not really... Bloq gets a decent vote in the Bec and the NDP used to have a stranglehold in the west, discouting Alberta. But it's basically down to the two, all things considered. But it's far from a two party system.
  23. I think they just delight in attention, positive, negative... and if pushing someone who has to be accomodating to his brink is a way for them to get what they so crave, then so be it. They win, even if everyone else loses. The best thing to do would be to sweep it under the rug, but they will NEVER go away. I hope you guys (NF) and Matt can come to some agreement to help him find fans who aren't self-interested asses. And I hope Matt learns when to say enough is enough and take a break.
  24. I don't have ID, so I can't get into any of the bar shows for another year. That said, I saw him at the Stampede a year ago I think... good show, though why people crowd surf to Apparitions I will never know.
  25. That thread was made once it became obvious that Matt was done with the board. There was a good debate, but when Matt said he didn't want to debate it seemed like 8-10 whackos came out of the woodwork in order to just frustrate the situation. Much of the thread was spent proposing homoerotic encounters and the swapping of phone numbers. Oh yeah, Matt posted his phone number supposedly. That was dumb, if it was really his (it's a BC number in any case). Ugh, I didn't even get a chance to see the naked chicks. ;)
