haven't posted on here in a while, but I think I must after seeing this setlist. Without a doubt matt always brings the RAWK no matter what song he is playing, and I understand the sickness and limited rehearsal time issues but for someone who constantly prattles on about the monotony of playing 'the hits' he surely has never really went against that formula the past couple years. I am a little disappointed with this initial setlist. you think with having the same band for a year, especially with members who actually recorded Vancouver with him (excluding Milos) that they are going to have a bigger back catalog, I could personally do without htb, load me up, us remains impossible, and empty's theme park sounds a little exhausting live with the acoustic guitar... even giants been hanging around in his set far too long. I would love to hear any other track off Vancouver, and anything in his back repertoire that isn't one of his write-off singles. I would think matt has the audience that appreciates a more narrowed down set list by now. length of the show or how many songs he plays don't matter to me, just the content within that period of time. I am without a doubt still seeing him a couple times this tour, his band is tight, and I actually love Stu, he's an awesome guitarist and has great chemistry with matt. bass and drummer are both rock steady too! here's hoping for a change up in the set once the band gets their touring hat on.

this is frikin sweet, can't wait till the album comes out. I am glad they kept the banter at the end of the songs.

I agree as well that they do work for most of the songs. The reason I am saying he should lay off the strings is because he will most likely just use the shitty garage band strings he used for Hospital music. I think it detracts from that whole sprawling, lush sound that matt was trying to create. He definitely captured that sound with the Vancouver orchestra on avalanche, unfortunately he can't afford that anymore. sorry about that nit picking but when it comes to midi sounds i turn into a complete audiophile.;) I remembered he mentioned that he may get a small quartet to play the string pieces and then double it over with synth strings so maybe that will sound more realistic.

This was my favourite demo thus far. Very reminiscent of the Avalanche days. I still think he needs to lay off the strings in all these demos, this one I am considering to be an exception given the feel of the song.

an acoustic ep would be fantastic! i am enjoying all this new material so far. should cut down on all the string parts though...

fantastic show! I loved the rockabilly tune they made up halfway through the set. ;) the whole night just blew me away. could of cared less for devils in your details but it's all good! FANNNTASTIC!

blarrg! missed another demo again! I really wanted to hear this one too, the song was fantastic acoustic!

i am definitely liking all this new demo material so far,

audio of being is the best overall album...now if they could of cut out anti- pop...

i am pretty sure on "Champions" that they are all laughing tracks taken from garage band... the "pigeon" one sounds really drowned out.. maybe it was modified in pitch or slowed down or something?

a couple of the sound effects are actually straight from garage band if u wanna check them out(if u have garage band that is) G# on applause and laughter is the kids cheering on 99% of us is failure and go to radio sounds and the f# is the telephone sound made on champions Pretty cool!
