  1. Hi, For those Smashing Pumpkins' fans, Billy Corgan will release his solo album next month. Info from his webpage (http://www.billycorgan.com/news050428.html) He will tour too around some countries (including Canada and Spain) to present his album. Hope I can go to Barcelona to see his concert. Juanpe BILLY CORGAN TO EMBARK ON WORLD TOUR JUNE 1ST IN SUPPORT OF HIS UPCOMING DEBUT SOLO ALBUM 'TheFutureEmbrace' Billy Corgan will embark on a world tour June 1st in Portugal in support of his debut solo album TheFutureEmbrace, due out June 21 on Warner Bros. Over the course of eight weeks, the modern rock pioneer and his band will visit intimate venues in 11 countries--the U.S., Canada, Portugal, England, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, and Spain--before wrapping at the end of July. The itinerary includes two-night engagements in such cities as London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago, his hometown. Fans should expect a vibrant aural and visual experience that reflects the panoramic sound and push-and-pull tension of TheFutureEmbrace album, which features the upcoming single and video "Walking Shade." TheFutureEmbrace was produced by Corgan along with Bjorn Thorsrud and Bon Harris, mixed by Alan Moulder and recorded in Chicago. The album contains 11 Corgan originals plus a cover of the early Bee Gees classic "To Love Somebody," which dovetails with Corgan's own themes of devotion and features Robert Smith of the Cure on backing vocals. 2. Quoted words from the United Nations Charter (24 October 1945): "The purpose of the United Nations is to bring all nations of the world together to work for peace and development, based on the principles of justice, human dignity and the well-being of all people. It affords the opportunity for countries to balance global interdependence and national interests when addressing international problems." For more info about the UN you can go to their official page (www.un.org) or a webpage I found with clear explanations of the UN function (http://cyberschoolbus.un.org/unintro/unintro.asp) The UN logo shows the world held in the “olive branches of peace”.
  3. he's your friend? ;) and why that t-shirt, if I may ask?
  4. Hi all, taking from their webpage (http://www.depechemode.com/news/index.html#042005_recording_update) Can't wait to it!!! ;) Juanpe Depeche Mode In The Studio New Album Scheduled For Autumn Depeche Mode are currently in Santa Barbara, California recording their first studio album since 2001's, 'Exciter', due for release this Autumn. 2004 ended on a high for Depeche Mode, generated largely by the success of their remix album, 'Depeche Mode Remixes 81-04' which sold over 1 million copies worldwide and produced the top 10 single, 'Enjoy The Silence' remixed by Mike Shinoda. The new album is being co-produced by Depeche Mode and Ben Hillier, whose credits include Elbow's 'Cast Of Thousands' album, the current acclaimed Doves release, 'Some Cities' and Blur's classic, 'Think Tank'. "It's a great feeling to be back together in the studio again and we are very excited about the new material", says Dave Gahan. "We are all feeling incredibly positive about the album. Ben Hillier has brought a whole new dynamic to the group which is quite inspiring."

  6. Matthew Good - A long way down
  7. "Pornography" is my favorite album ever ;)
  8. Baby Powder - Light you up
  9. exactly, totally agree with you: all bands have ever their debut... if they are not good or people don't wanna listen, as it happens with many many bands, they will be forgotten, that's it... in the meantime, i will keep enjoying some of the good songs (in my opinion) that this "hot fuss" contains
  10. The Sisters of Mercy - Temple of rareties
  11. The Smashing Pumpkings - Siamese dream
  12. "Songs from northern britain", one of their best albums ;)
  13. I agree: one way to show attrocities and to keep people's memories of what to not try to do in the future
  14. you'll see you won't get disappointed ;) pretty good version of such a jewel like "Pornography"
  15. Red Hot Chilli Peppers - By the way
  16. Red Hot Chilli Peppers - By the way
  17. Morrissey - Angel, angel, down we go together ( ¡¡¡I reached my post 2000!!! ;)) (Thanx to all the good friends I've made here in all these months  )
  18. Yes, I have only bought the "Pornography" one and I can tell you that it is worthy (at least it was for me). It contains tracks I had never heard of them before and I've got everything (well, let's say "almost" everything) from The Cure and they were totally new to me ;) It is also in the Internet if you can't pay for that (and yes, you are right, these deluxe version CDs are very expensive)... I could've gotten it from the Internet but I just bought it on an impulse
  19. Garbage - Girl don't come
  20. VNV Nation - Burning empires (gosh, people, since I discovered this band some days ago, thanx to someone who posted about them in the forum, I can't stop listening to them! ;) )
  21. yeah, it happens the same to me ;) I LOVE The Cure This Deluxe Version of the Pornography - the one I have already gotten - contains such good demo and live versions... you are gonna like it for sure!
  22. Hi all, for those who are fans of The Cure, they have just published "deluxe editions" of three of their first albums: Faith, Seventeen seconds, Three imaginary boys and Pornography, all of them double CDs with a better sound and a compilation of rare tracks, studio demos and live versions of the songs from the 4 albums. A jewel to get if you really like The Cure ;) Juanpe P.S.: if you want, you can read about this on their official webpage: http://www.thecure.com/discography/?page=all
  23. Hi all, they have just published a new album called "Man made". I recommend it to you, it sounds pretty much to their beginnings. Has anyone heard it yet? What do you think about it? Juanpe
  24. Goo Goo Dolls - ´Cuz you're gone
  25. some of the songs from the album are very different from one to another... after having listened to the whole album some times, I also have the impression that some songs are as if they were from different bands... I still have "smile like you mean it" as my favorite one (;) hahaha... I guess you are just living in the 19th century or even in the Nazi period when some people just considered being gay as an insult... fortunately we are living in the 21st century and such a childish and stupid answer/comment does not deserve any further comment... typical attitude of people who don't have arguments to discuss something)
