I'm not sure if Ed helms would work. as far as chemistry goes, would it be good or bad to have two people with the same comedic style (helms and carell)? At first I thought not, but I think it should be good. before, everyone seemed to be a pushover . now there can be some comedic back and forth

besides those majoring in the said subjects, these types of classes exist as filler to ensure that your stay in uni and college is extended to four years. Most of it is just common sense observations about society that are completely inapplible to the real world. Humans are: B benevolent R real team players A A-OK! V valiant E empathy the common barriers new immigrants face when moving to a new country are: social, economic, language ;) I could teach one of these classes...Actually it's not a bad idea. All you have to do is setup the powerpoint and spend the rest of the class indoctrinating students with liberal views.

you may aswell be studying atrology, with all the BS they teach in sociology

Best Grunge Singer
heyrabbit replied to Audio of Being's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
actually that was probably the perfect time for them to be playing grunge. there were no expectations because, they were 15, so they could go all out. they had an unabated youthful energy and an amateurish playing skills which resulted in an extremely effective grunge album.it was so simple that it was almost ingenius. nobody older than 15 would think to write it, or get away with it -
it's the same thing. you share the same genes as your parents. your parents look like you and vice versa

yeah, it is. actually they're attracted to the mirror image, which is a bit different, but still.

it's totally true

I've been meaning to get this book for a while: "This is your brain on music" by Daniel Levitin. The author's a rock musician turned cognitive neuroscientist. He studies how the brain processes music and explains the involvement of frequencies, rhythm, timbre, tempo, and so on, in the involvment of eliciting an emotional response from the listener. Music may be subjective but that doesn't mean that the response it evokes is completely arbitrary. It can't be otherwise our taste in music would be randomly changing every day, all the time with no rhyme or reason. And it does, but people always have their favorite musicians. matt good, for example. There's a reason why everyone interprets music differently. What makes a song "good" or "bad" to each individual depends upon how a persons brain has evolved aswell as the factors listed above. This could be affected by cultural differences and individual experiences. You could go so far as to say that it's partially Freudian. Perhaps you were assaulted by a guy who listened to classical music. You might grow up hating that entire genre. I'll agree that music is subjective but I don't accept that there can't be a conclusive argument made to suggest that Matt good's is better than 98 Degrees'. I'm sure a consensus can be made on what is more pleasing to more people and why. you just need to know the science behind it, that's all
