Ridding the world of religious stupidity, ignorance and irrationality is tangible and it definitely matters. The real problem is that people fail to recognize the serious harm that religion does out of "respect" for people's beliefs. Dawkins has only ever come across as a ridiculously polite, charming and courteous British gentleman. He doesn't belong on O'Reilly, and should have avoided going on his show for the same reason that he doesn't debate creationists.

The man is too fucking intelligent for O'Reilly. Just about everything that came out of O'Reilly was either pure bullshit or thoroughly debunked in Dawkins' book. Dawkins would have needed more time.
