  1. Why the 19+ shows? Arr.
  2. Has anybody else picked up the new New Pornographers CD, Twin Cinema? I just got it today and I'm listening to it right now. It's got a completely different sound and feel from the other two albums, but it's still quite nice.
  3. Your mother. Your mother or your mother?
  4. Right on, Yammie.
  5. I think that artists should start including those parental advisory stickers as a part of the album art just to screw around.
  6. And after that, I started listening to radio. And that wasn't cool at all. But soon after I discovered Hello Time Bomb, Avalanche came out, and it changed my life.
  7. Yep, that's his real name.
  8. John Morgan died a few months ago, sadly. Also, that wasn't Rick Mercer in the photo of the hockey game, it was Raj Binder. I actually saw that guy when I was at the Grey Cup. I told him that he rocked. He said, "thanks". Also, he stole my joke about telling the cheerleader that she had nice pom-poms.
  9. I remember going to see a live taping of that. It was the year after John Morgan left. They still had a few things going for them when they brought in a new guest every week, I think. But now there's just nothing. Same thing goes for This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Nothing without Rick Mercer, and even his new show fails to impress.
  10. Pipe down, squishy boy.
  11. I passed 1000 posts some time ago. Thought you ought to know.
  12. I didn't even listen to music at twelve. Well, actually, I did get a copy of "Big Shiny Tunes 4" for that Blink 182 song on it (even though I'm embarassed to admit it) but it did have Hello Time Bomb on it so about 5 years after I had bought it I rediscovered that CD and listened to Hello Time Bomb and here we are today!
  13. Woah... you went to the mall at 11? You had an allowance? Man, am I ever out of the loop with the times.
  14. Then you should have asked back, "Is it company policy to lower sales?"
  15. I'm familiar with using shutter speeds and exposure times to get that effect on cars, but you'll notice that there are only two cars coming towards the camera, and none going away. Not typical of the DVP at any time. EDIT: Not to mention the man in the bunny suit standing not a few inches from the zooming cars.
  16. Looks like you're right. The CN Tower appears to be in the background of #2 Speaking as a Torontonian, that is definitely the downtown Toronto skyline. However, the picture was obviously photoshopped. The weather is just too perfect for the picture, and there is no way that they closed down the DVP (the road that the picture is of) just so some guy can stand there in a bunny suit for some pictures.
  17. I think the PA stickers do have an effect, because a lot of kids have to get the okay from their parents before they can buy CD's, and we all know how pretentious parents can be when it comes to their little angels coming into contact with the real world. P.S. Christy - getting carded buying a CD? Is that even legal?
  18. Ah, that brought back memories.
  19. Let us all remember that the Alliance Party was little more than the Reform party with a different name. Although my personal favourite name of theirs was "Canadian Conservative Reform Alliance Party", for obvious reasons.
  20. The problem with that idea is that the liberals often do have to work with the conservatves. Ever heard of a country called the United States? Unless a party has 60 seats in the senate, they need to co-operate with members of the opposite party if they want serious stuff to get done. Oh, and the other thing is, in a multi-party system, the liberals would have to work with the conservatives - they'd work with parties like the NDP or, in a proportional representation system, the green party, to pass legislation.
  21. Like it or not, Matt, but the truth remains that people actually voted for Hitler at one time. A significant amount, of them, too. In fact, at one point, were the Nazis not the largest party in the Reichstag? Extremist, yes, but not a fringe party.
  22. The rabbit looks bent over and ready to take it.
  23. They aren't honest mistakes. It's an opinion held contrary to all facts, and held consistently so.
