  2. I've got my oranje pride machine all started up again this year. EDIT: Incubus, having read your post, you made my day. NF's for you.
  3. Me in 8th grade.
  4. And why is it that the Afghan women are in a position tantamount to slavery? I don't see them working any cotton (or poppy) fields while the men sit around all day talking about sports. Yes, it is oppression, and yes it is a violation of human rights, but could we at least stick to the right terminology? It makes having a proper debate easier when hyperbole is left out.
  5. "Quidditas" is a good term to use for Little Miss Secretary. Comes from Latin. Literally, it means "whatness" and makes absolutely zero sense. Your job is to come up with some obscure meaning the Ancient Romans used for it.
  6. If it's going to be just one word, make sure it's in a foreign language. Romantic + mysterious + she'll never know any better. P.S. Invented is probably the right term. BTW, "light beer" is meant in the American sense, where it's low on carbs, not low on alcohol.
  7. You could become a chemist and then apply your l337 chemical skills to beer. Seriously, light beer was invented by a chemist.
  8. I was under the impression that most top gears on cars these days are overdrive gears.
  9. Or venereal disease-carrying whore.
  10. I think that's irrelevant.
  11. Okay, so I did try out the trick you told me. Jesus Tapdancing Christ. Never have I had that car accelerate from 50-100 so fast. All I had to do was gun the throttle, watch the tach approach redline, and put the shift lever back into drive, and I was at 100 km/h. Wow. After doing that, I can appreciate just how spongy the automatic feels when in drive. It's like there's a friggin' elastic between the pedal and the engine now.
  12. Canada is a target because... a) we're white b) mostly Christian c) next to the U.S. And there's not a whole lot we can do about it. Thinking that simply not doing anything to piss anyone off will prevent terrorist attacks is flawed. Trying to get terrorists to like us is a bad idea.
  13. If that were the case, they wouldn't have made the arrests.
  14. That is news to me. I'm testing that out tonight if I'm not stuck behind some octogenarian on the highway entrance ramp.
  15. What the hell are you on about? The car is already in first gear whenever I'm at a stop, why will the car launch faster if I put the shift lever down to 1 or 2?
  16. i went to a sex party once.... what a weird scene. Fortunately, at our sexy parties, there will be a prominent "NO FAT CHICKS" sign placed outside.
  17. No, the 3 setting keeps the transmission from shifting up into fourth. Or at least, I'm pretty sure it does. I do recall driving down the highway in third gear a few times. Either way, putting the transmission into third improves engine braking and keeps me from speeding (too much) down hills. I've only ever had to use "1" once, and that was going down a steep driveway at Mont Tremblant. Besides that, I can easily get the engine to hit the redline if I just shove my foot down hard enough. The redline is around 6,000 RPM and have gotten the engine to around 5,000 RPM from flooring it, before I have to take my foot off the gas so I don't hit the guy ahead of me. So there's no real need to put the tranny in 2. But just to test your hypothesis, I'll test it out tonight if I can. Research, hah.
  18. Christy, you can come and live with me when I get my own pad. Meg will be there and we'll have sexy parties.
  19. Meg, your history teacher is a fucking idiot. I just wanted to get that out.
  20. Considering that we claim to be more civilized and enlightened than the taliban and al-qaeda, I'd hope that question would be irrelevant.
