I just got this from Netflix, but I haven't watched it yet. It looked pretty sweet.

Eh, it was alright. Turned out to be more of an addiction film than anything. Loved the visuals, but not as good as expected.

Smith's rant was dead on. He can buy JS not liking the film, but being a dick about it and disrupting the other critics' experience is ridiculous. Also, isn't it his job to review the film? WTF?

I'm going tomorrow... I'm so pumped. If my buddy bails on me, I'll go alone. I'm leaving on vacation to Italy on Monday, and I must see it before I leave!

The Clerks animated series was pretty great. An Evening With Kevin Smith should definitely be owned on DVD. Anyone know when the second one is coming out? Thought it would be out by now... maybe it was pushed to fall.

I'm going Family Guy on this one... though the last season or so hasn't been nearly as good as the first few.

I'm not interested in the slightest. Just seems like another round of sympathy pleas. Though Oliver Stone's 9/11 film might be decent, since he's willing to be controversial and not make a safe film. Who knows.

Hilarious. I'm amused the most disturbing film of last year contained no violence or sexual acts (shown, at least).

Watched Brokeback Mountain last night. Pretty good, solid performances.

One of my top three favorites.

Netflix. I had Blockbuster Online when it first launched, but the selection was thin and they were soooo slow.

Love Netflix, been using it for a couple months now. I'm buying fewer DVDs and not overpaying for rentals elsewhere.

Wonder Showzen is brilliant. I finished watching the season one DVD last night, will start watching dvr'd eps from the new season soon.

Excellent. I love 24, glad that I'll be able to see it for years to come.

Beautiful Midnight, then Loser Anthems... Avalanche and Audio of Being currently come in as a tie for third for me.

Just wondering about the comment that the NF$ is needed to control bandwidth... but what about people just spamming or only posting enough to get enough to download the song(s) they wanted? Obviously, that's going to be less bandwidth than a ton of people just downloading the track, but perhaps there could be some other system than just basing it on posts. That said, I only need a couple more posts to get this track, but I'm not spamming and will be coming back to post even after I get it...

Haven't gotten the Downloading one yet, but I guess I'm digging Seriously Serious a bit more. It has a bit more meat to it, I guess.

It's hilarious, but definitely one of those movies that gets a bit less funny each time you watch it. Not really one that you pick through and enjoy even more with each viewing.

It was really surprising. I had no idea that he had been sick.

I love this flick. Eli is excellently quotable, and makes for one of the best characters in all of film.

It's certainly a "fun" movie, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as the original. To me, it seemed like they just used their monster budget to have a good time around the world, and then just pieced together the footage to form a makeshift flick.

It's certainly an interesting track... I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either. I think it could be one that'll grow on me with time.

I'm voting Shaun of the Dead. That one hit me like a ton of bricks... love it.
