I like them and their album, Hot Fuss, it's actually really good. I just like it when a band that is seemingly not premanufactured by the record labels can break through the TRL/MTV crap and make it. ;)

I actually like Be Here Now. I think it's one of their better albums. And I second the people that said they like Heathen Chemistry. I can't believe Rolling Stone called it one of the year's biggest disappointments.

come on.. it was only ten years.. how many songs could there have been? True, a lot of songs on the radio, but let's be honest, how many of those would you classify as good? Compare any number of Backstreet Boys singles with One More Astronaut by I Mother Earth, and you'll see why I asked this question and why I don't think it is that hard to answer. ;)

What, in your opinion, is the best song that was popular on commercial FM radio in the 90's? I'd have to go with a tie between Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova by Oasis. Your thoughts?

selling out to me means recording an entire album full of radio friendly songs that are intended to sell the album. the definition of selling out that i heard from a friend that i tend to agree with is selling out is doing something other then what made you famous in the first place.

Fred Penner - The Cat Came Back

Now I, among with many others, consider Audio Of Being to be Matthew Good Band's best album. I was listening to the album and thought about how they broke up over it's recording. Do you think the inner-turmoil within the band during it's recording could have resulted in it's excellence? Just wondering what everyone thought.

I Miss New Wave or Fated or Carmelina Pretty Much anything Matthew Good Band recorded. Seriously.

Matthew Good Band was incredible, every one of their albums, in my opinion, got progressively better with Audio of Being their best. Avalanche is an incredible solo album, but I have to go with MGB.

That would still make Giant really easy to name. ;)
