I was actually looking into logic the other day. Is there a big difference between it and garageband? The screen shots I've seen look exactly like garageband that's why I ask.

Yeah I really want to find something that talks about him getting into music and the songs he wrote before MGB. how he transitioned from MGB to being a solo artist. Stuff like that. Would be awesome if something like that came out in the future. Like someone following him on tour asking about back then and having flashbacks showing how things have changed for him since then.

So I know Matt uses garageband to record his demos for the most part. Any idea if he uses any other programs? Maybe to make the instruments sound better or something? Just wondering because I'm starting to do my own demos and want to try and make them sound as good as possible (even if they are demos)

This is a really old thread but I was wondering if there is any kind of biography on Matt? Whether a book or tv program?

Matt has definately had an impact on my record collection and what I listen to in general. bob Dylan, talk talk, new order, pixies, limblifter, josh Ritter (who is now one of my favourites) ryan dahle and so on. Whenever matt mentions another artist I definately check them out. I was into them long before hand but it made me smile seeing Matt in the SNFU documentary. Never thought he'd be a fan of a skate punk band. Although he's really into dead Kennedy's as well so I guess it shouldn't have surprised me that much lol

This is a little off topic but I just need to say I love the song Hornets. I love when artists have unreleased songs that are just as good if not better than the songs that make the albums. Also to be back on topic I finally heard the new demos and really like the direction. A little more old school yet fresh. Love it. Hope to hear more in the near future.

I would love a live acoustic album. Or even this country album I've heard people mention that Matt has supposedly talked about. I love his acoustic songs and think that would end up being an incredible album. But I love everything he releases anyways.

I agree big time. You know it's an awesome album when every other day you have a different song stuck in your head!!

Right now I can't get enough of Garden of Knives. Was stuck in my head all weekend. I love the use of synths and the melody of the chorus. So damn catchy!!

He played PTD? Wish I could have seen that. I love when he brings old songs back again. Hope I see that one live in the future. Definately a favourite!

Anyone know how many songs matt wrote with Ryan dahle? And how they came to write them?

Live road? Where can I get this? And is there somewhere to find his bootlegs. I always have trouble finding stuff like that for Matt good. Still haven't heard the new demos either!!

I'm fine with 2 years. A lot better than most bands these days that put out an album then your for 4 years. I still really want to hear these two new demos though.

These videos are awesome thank you so much! I remember back in the day recording stuff from much onto VHS. Wish I still had what I recorded. Thanks again for holding onto these all these years and sharing!!

I really want these to happen. I think more than enough people would buy them. A MGB box set would be pretty sweet as well hmm?

Zero orchestra is definately one of my all time favourites as well. So new yet so matt good I love it.

Both amazing set lists but I would have to lean more towards #2. More personal favourites on that one.
