Right now its Blue Skies over Badlands.... but I'll also say Born to Kill. I think someone mentionned that earlier, but I dunno that song just speaks volumes to me,, not just to lyrics, the music too, actually especially the music. Also like to add that I agree with the guy who said he loves the music cause you can listen to a CD so many times, and then someone will point something out or you'll just realize something new and fall in love with another song. This has happened to me many times over.... In fact Avalanche... I was super dissapointed when i first got it.. yes its true. Now, I believe its my favorite CD period.

Yes, that is exactly right. I seem to remember there was a small paragraph in there as well by Matt saying how it was a shameless gimmick to sell more albums... and for some reason something about most of that old music sucking as well.. that right? ,, wonders where he put that...

Ditto the person above. I didn't realize I had a rarer copy with the lyrics. Shitty that I travel so much I can't take my cases with me, I'm not even sure where it is right now... I know I ruined my Avalanche case somehow... ah well fortunatly I'm not too into collecting... I guess ;)

I was also at the Mtl show, kicked complete ass! I did like it better than the Ottawa show (which also kicked ass) except for in Ottawa we got Avalanche and Pledge of Allegiance. Almost died with Future is X-Rated (although it was more of a combined song with Put Out your Lights), and Giant. Defenitly rocked out though. I havn't seen Matt since 1999 at Salmon Fest in Newfoundland and I saw him twice in the last month or so. Good times... (excuse the pun)

Long Way Down is an awesome some, but I dunno if I rank it that high, mainly cause I also love Plegde of Alligiance, Avalanche, WWWHR, House of Smoke and Mirrors, Weapon,,,, etc etc... IAWCC does seem out of place on the album though, and if I were to cut a song that would be it, although I do like parts of it.

Hmmmm.. well I defenitly don't have it all then. keeps telling me that 11659 doesn't exist any more though.. And when I search through everything it jumps from 11658 to 11660... "Torrent unknown! A torrent with id 11659 doesn't exist on this tracker" hmmmmm

How big is the file? I started to get it, but not sure if I got it all. I only have 44.5 megs so I doubt it. Also, I couldn't get the conversion to work. It said it couldn't find the proper codec even though I installed the FLAC codec... perhaps this is because the file wasn't complete? I dunno. Also, I tried to re-download but it says the file no longer exist. This true? Thanks for you help.

Its not so much something you choose to do, but if you follow politics you might think of this as an important event and unable to do otherwise. It'd be like staying up to watch the Stanley Cup Finals, watching won't make a difference and you can see the highlights the next day, but you just can't wait that long. Although I will grant hockey is much more entertaining ;)

Matt cancelled at Mardi Gras.... ;) Due to weather being crap.

.... give me some credit.... I gathered that much, I was wondering if maybe it was about a certain fight by chance? I guess it could be just a general boxing reference...

That is the worst part about being away from home this term, is I'm going to miss Mardi Gras.. its the best party of the year and to top it off Matt Good is playing. For those who don't know Mardi Gras is Halloween weekend where they essentially rope off the infmaous George Street (about I dunno 60 bars? in a few hundred feet). You pay cover for the street ($10 I think) and can walk in and out of any bars, see the concert, etc... Craziness,, anyhow there is a little stage for musicians in the middle of the street. During Mardi Gras everyone is dressed up too. I guess the only downfall is that everyone isn't a Matt Good fan, since most go for the party rather than the band.. there have been unpleasant incidents... with Sloan for example, but I'm sure it'll be fine. Hope it does't rain. Anyways, that was long ad kinda dull. GO TO MARDI GRAS!! W000t!!

Friend of mine asked me this the other day and I realized I really didn't know, guess I hadn't given it that much thought. But any of you guys know what Matt Good is referencing in the lines: "picture yourself at the MGM grand one night only, murphy vs. hokem you're in the stands" I don't pretend to understand the meaning of all his lyrics, but it'd be interesting to ;)

Thanks for the welcome! Though I must say at first I did find the entire NF thing rather confusing (being from Newfounland). Of course it is NL now, but I grew up with the ol' NF. I'm totally psyched about seeing him again, it had been 5 years since I last saw him (excluding last night of course). Anyhow, nap time!
