Constantines Fans?
unspoken replied to Radiohead's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Yeah he's done that several times. I remember seeing an interview on the local TV station here with Matt and Melissa Auf Der Maur and the whole thing about the Junos was brought up. Part of his reply was "the day the Junos open with the Weakerthans and close with The Constantines, then I'll go." I've heard of the Constantines before but never really made an effort to try to hear some of their tunes. Perhaps I should. -

I need to slap myself for forgetting Gouge Away. Great Song. -
I thought this was really good, even though I'm not much of a Metallica fan. I think that long review before was somewhat accurate in the character descriptions though. James sometimes comes off as a better guy than he should, and Lars definitely comes out looking bad. I think that the person who came out of this looking the best had to be Dave Mustaine, because he finally gets the chance to air out his side of the story with Lars(as well as all Metallica fans) and he comes out being the most honest, especially during the part where he admits that to this day, there's a good part of him that would still like to be a member of Metallica.

I have no pictures to post of it, but I drive a cherry red 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. It's fucking sweet, sure beats the 92 Ford Tempo I had before it.

Walking In My Shoes - Depeche Mode -
I was reading something about Johnny Depp and Benecio Del Toro doing another movie based on a Hunter S. Thompson book, but its all about booze, no drugs. Does anyone know anything about this, like what its called, if or when its out, etc.?

Wasn't Ryan supposed to fill in with Matt a couple years ago? Right after Dave left the band but the band wasn't totally broke up, they had some tour dates scheduled and Ryan was supposed to fill in for Dave on those. That would have been cool to see.

Suckiest Song Of 2004
unspoken replied to Devil On Rollerskates's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I had to go with Ashlee Simpson, that song got played EVERYWHERE I went and just annoyed me to the nth degree. But realistically, I could have placed a vote for about 3/4 of that list. -
I highly doubt finger eleven will have a new album out in 2005. They're just finishing a tour right now and then they are going to start writing for a new album, so the process will take a while. I hope when they do put out a new album that it includes a studio version of Unspoken, as that song is amazing and should have been on the self-titled album.

Not really. Kids that age will do almost anything they can to get their hands on liquor(especially if its free). I'm from a small town where the legal drinking age is just a suggestion. But I used to referee rec hockey games when I was around that age, and usually after the game when you went to get paid they gave you 10 bucks and a couple beers. The thought of getting a few free beers was a way to get people out to ref these things that normally wouldn't otherwise.

If they don't take that name, I got dibs on it.

This take from from The Shit List on Seether's fan site www.seetherville.com. Written by the band CHRIS BROWN Simply enough, the illustrious singer of the pop band, TRAPT, makes us all sick to the very pit of our stomachs! The guy is a first rate example of who, and what, we hope to avoid association with, and is a constant reminder of how lame singers with infLAted egos are. On the list because of numerous incidents, but most notably for the occassion where he sat on our bus and proceded to tell us that we could give him any song and he could make it a "hit". Because, "...that's what I do!" Dick. Also, if anyone's interested, here's what they had to say about Good Charlotte. BENJI AND/OR JOEL MADDEN The sickeningly sweet twin frontmen of the pop "punk" outfit, Good Charlotte. Mainly, we're just not fans of the band, nor any of the clones that are part of their movement. Everything about this band, and especially the brothers, is tainted with hypocrisy and we're fairly sure that between the two of them, their IQ's would not exceed the body temperature of an average llama. Don't believe us? Just read any of their lyrics - they'd make Sylvia Plath want to commit suicide again!

So last night I was channel surfing when I come across The Pixies playing on David Letterman. They played Monkey Gone To Heaven with that Paul Shaffer guy doing some stuff on the keyboards with it, was pretty cool. My only regret is that I didn't know about it earlier so I could tape it. Another good late night TV moment last night...after Simple Plan was done playing on Jimmy Kimmel, he thanked Sum 41 for being there. The fuuny part is most would say he was close enough.

Isn't it Petroleum Dispersal Engineer? At least that's the way I've heard it.

I've got nothing against The Music, but saying they're better than Matt is pretty ridiculous. I quote Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction..."It ain't the same ballpark, It ain't the same league, It ain't even the same f***in sport"

No, the closest she gets is to her underwear when the neighbour dude that likes her sees in her window. I was actually surprised at how little nudity there was in this movie when you think about how much of the plot involves sex. You'd figure it be a big T & A fest. I watched this movie twice(once in theater, once at home) and as far as I remember the only times there was was when the main character's friend was watching porn and when they go to the strip club. But its definitely got some really funny dialogue in it, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a laugh.
