  1. The Who - You Better You Bet.
  2. I don't like U2, and they don't look alike.
  3. He only owes 'us' as much as he's willing to give. He gave all he could and then some, but because of the people he was trying to educate, he stopped altogether. When he stopped his blogs it was dissapointing, but as many did, I knew why he stopped them. What I am talking about is not him owing his fans anything, but to continue sharing his perspectives to the public. The internet is so mainstream that even despite what a few people say, he is influencing anybody who comes across anything he writes. It looks hopeless to him, but it doesn't have to be. The public didn't stop him, he stopped himself. Hasn't he been telling us that giving up under pressure is not something one should do?
  4. Why is he giving up? By the looks and sounds of it, it's because he's tired of dealing with ignorance. I don't believe this is the case. It is not our fault he has stopped his blogs, his posting, his website, everything. It's his fault. I didnt want to say it, and Im sure Im going to get flamed for it anyway. He preaches to us to not stop helping others, to give to Amnesty and the ceasefire, etc. He is inturn giving up his help towards the ignorant public. Stupidity is everywhere, and it's something everyone is going to have to deal with. One can not give up simply because they are ignored or insulted for their beliefs. Oh well, it's over now. He's influenced many, me being one of them, but these little successes are apparently not worth his time and effort. Good luck.
  5. I agree, though there won't be anything more to read.
  6. Full of himself? Please elaborate.
  7. It's a shame.
  8. Well, for like 2 minutes at the Calgary Stampede in '03. Then in October '04, at Macewan Hall.
  9. Buddy Holly - Johnny Be Good.
  10. I've never read the book, I've heard it's terrible...from people who don't like Matt Good though.
  11. I have thems songs and for the most part they are good.
  12. The US has those parties too...but nobody cares or noticed them.
  13. Tied between the Audio of Being and A Beautiful Midnight for me, but I went with BM.
  14. In Canada, the majority of the votes go to either the Liberals or Conservatives. Though the NDP gets more of a vote percentage than Nader does, it's still basically our 2 parties running.
  15. Go into the wallpaper section to see the new rabbit prototype I have built.
  16. It wouldn't even work. I can bet you that much.
  17. Well that blows...Why all the conflict?
  18. I don't support it because this 'missile defence system' is completely useless.
  19. Er...you can't really count the Persian Gulf War as a 'success' based on Canada's military. It was more of a UN success as it was pretty a victory based on these countries; The United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, France, Kuwait, Egypt, Syria, Senegal, Niger, Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain. Other countries contributed ships, air forces, and medical units, including Canada, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Czechoslovakia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Poland, and South Korea. Also, it's not the success rate that defines of the military that defines their power, otherwise Israel would be a strong contendor as the IDF has won many battles. It's the fact that we do not have the number of military units that makes us a 'middle power' for that category. Hell, we don't even have an MBT anymore, the took the Leopard C2 out of service not too long ago.
  20. What would leaving the UN do? Nothing, that's what. Well actually, it would allow them to go to war easier because they wouldn't have to go through the General Assembly or anything. If the UN had a backbone regarding the super powers of the world, then everything would be fine. The US won't leave, nor would it matter.
  21. Everything I've read about them gives me the notion that they're main goal is to centralize everything and elminate private ownership of resource based companies and such. Same line as what the liberal party is trying to do. Oh well. More than 90% of the time my facts aren't right and I look dumb, but I don't care.
  22. Pretty much that. I don't like NDP becuase to me, they're just a fancy string of words that mean "fascist". Not a big fan of the green party either. The BLOC party isn't good, all they want to do is make Quebec alone, cancel all their debts but still use our money. Meh. Actually both of their parties were voted or allowed in by wgat's called 'crisis theory'. Both countries were economically unstable after WWI, thus leading the public into a panick. The fascist government looked glorious in comparison to what was controlling them at the time. In Germany, Hindenburg appointed Hitler as chancellor and everyone loved him. After Hindenburg had died, Hitler had set fire to the reichstag, blamed it on the commies, and started the 'enabling act' which gave him total control. That's how he got into power. Mussolini was given total control for a year by King Victor Emmanuel III, as Italy was not in good shape. Mussolini took control for over that year his fascist government until I think it was 1943...anyway, that's totally off topic. Damn studying for social exams. Hope you learned something..?
