  1. i thought it was one of the most interesting choices for the acoustic session. vast improvement over the original.
  2. 1. Strange Days (Rooms) 2. Buffalo Seven 3. She's Got A New Disguise 4. Look Happy, It's The End Of The World 5. Pledge of Allegiance 6. COMING OUT IN PURPLE YEAAAHHAHH 7. Haven't Slept In Years (LOTGA) 8. Empty Road (Giant is a great song. But Empty Road.. damn. Probably the best song off WLRRR. Well, maybe not better than Blue Skies. You get it.) 9. Under the Influence
  3. i got lucky on a few. i knew many of them though and i made educated guesses on the rest
  4. I request that you share this intriguing MP3 with the village people. :3 Please!
  5. lord of the rings... oh god i'd watch it again, but i have an appointment next month so i don't think i could watch it the whole way through. eternal sunshine wasn't bad, but i think i was expecting more. napoleon dynamite was awesome when i first saw it. then it got popular and everyone started quoting it. god i hate it when people quote that movie. and titanic was so overrated at the box office. i don't know why everyone went to see that movie.
  6. 1. Anti-pop 2. While We Were Hunting Rabbits 3. Everything is Automatic 4. Man of Action 5. Mercy Misses You 6. Advertising on Police Cars 7. We're So Heavy 8. Native Son 9. Near Fantastica edit: dude nobody listens to the old pre-MGB tapes. we are so biased against them.
  7. "well I liked beautiful midnight way way way way way better than wlrr, and it sounds like he's going to stop all the mgb stuff." i'm guessing his new stuff will be nothing like either of those. keep listening! ;)
  8. Thanks! I love searching through your playlist, trying to find the best ones, instead of this oversimplified "5 best songs only" crap. It's given me something to keep me occupied this October! Many kudos, sir! Many kudos!
  9. I haven't cried for the last 5 years. Seriously. I have the emotional range of a rock. That said, these things have gotten me close: Schindler's List. Prime Time Deliverance. Prime Time Deliverance (Rooms).
  10. 1. Hello Time Bomb (Rooms) 2. Put Out Your Lights 3. Vermillion 4. Load Me Up 5. Flight Recorder From Viking 7 6. Big City Life 7. Avalanche 8. Dusk 9. Ex-Pats of the Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra
  11. i as well feel corny. screw inhibition though. it's true.
  12. 1. All Together 2. Euphony 3. Generation X-Wing (Rooms) 4. Suburbia 5. Sort of a Protest Song 6. A Boy and His Machine Gun 7. It's Been a While Since I Was Your Man 8. A Long Way Down 9. Truffle Pigs (Rooms)
  13. Hey... still technically Wednesday evening where I am. 1. Middle Class Gangsters 2. Born to Kill 3. (no vote) 4. Whispering in the Dark 5. Carmelina 6. Prime Time Deliverance 7. Hopeless 8. In A World Called Catastrophe 9. Weapon #6 was a hard choice. I don't think you can appreciate the Rooms version fully if you haven't heard the original, though, so the original gets it.
  14. as per matt's blog: post some of the music you've listened to recently. try to list the ones that aren't obvious (ie, we already know everyone here listens to MG) and try to list something we haven't heard of already (something different). the real trick: list only 5 songs ;) here's mine: polysics - buggie technica luis bacalov - the postman poet (il postino) fleetwood mac - rhiannon aqueduct - hardcore days & softcore nights huey lewis & the news - the power of love
  15. prime time is amazing with the new ending. the audio clips come on and all of the sudden it feels like i'm looking into this dead girl's eyes and seeing her life. true fact. i think what i'm trying to say is NO U! also: Rico acoustic.
  16. Two questions: (not votes) 1) Where can I get "Push"? 2) Isn't "Can't Explain" not really an MG song, considering it's a cover and has never been on an album? Votes: 1 Flashdance II 2 Rat Who Would Be King 3 Tripoli (Rooms) 4 Entresol 5 (no vote) 6 Man From Harold Wood 7 The Fine Art of Falling Apart 8 The Last Poem's Poet 9 Four Minute Mile
  17. prime time deliverance is my favourite song. and the acoustic version possibly even improved on it. case closed.
  18. some people are bitching about it, as per usual. i enjoyed it.
  19. Jack is a nickname Matt has. Some of his friends use it. He told me this first-hand. Questions?
  20. Born to Kill is fucking metal. It can't be done acoustically. It's impossible.
  21. It goddamn better be Prime Time Deliverance. ;)
  22. I want Matt to play at a huge concert in Vancouver and, after an epic set, guitar-solo the tune of "O Canada" on stage.
  23. I've seen all of them. In order from best to worst (my opinion): Weapon Carmelina Apparitions Strange Days In A World Called Catastrophe Load Me Up The Future is X-Rated Hello Timebomb Anti-Pop Everything is Automatic Alert Status Red Symbolistic White Walls Indestructible Rico Alabama Motel Room It's Been A While Since I Was Your Man Oh Be Joyful either belongs at the very top or the very bottom, I'm not sure which. And when I say "my opinion", that means if you think anything different then you're wrong.
  24. http://s14.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3E4UVFM...VY1H5HW8VGQPITO MP3 version if that is your hat. Get it while it's hot.
