There are some good teachers out there, but I, myself, have had many teachers who did not deserve pay raises. What is the point of having services for the poor if we are going to underfund them eventually? I would rather see services that are well planned out with ways to pay for them without raising taxes or hurting other areas of the province before we fund them. I do believe the nurses received a pay wage not too long ago as well.

The B.C. Liberals have lowered taxes for the poor, I like how that is conviently never mentioned. Also the poor do not pay a surplus for health care still. There are less people using education then there used to be since the baby boom is long since over and birth rates are not as high as there were. That's why the cuts happened. But, money has been wasted and yet teachers expect more. I know teachers who whine about the B.C. Liberals yet do not teach the class as well as they could. I do not believe tax payer money is paid to them to whine, but to teach. One of the worst offenders (I know), took twenty minute breaks, it was more of an independant self-paced course. But generally, because I was the only one who could catch the teacher at the right times, I would know what to do, and I would have to teach a couple others, and then they would do the same. That is wrong, the teacher is paid to teach all the kids. I have had the other end of that where teachers would not give me the help I needed when I have asked and basically left me to my own devices until I nagged them enough to teach me the proper method, which should have happened automatically. If teachers want to earn more money it is time for them to teach, not whine. I have been in classes of thirty-eight students, and I have learned the same amount as I did in class rooms with less students, sometimes more, depending on how well the teacher tried to ensure the student learned the material. Health Care is a slippery slope, but the cuts had to be made. Unfortunately any time there is money to be invested in the health care system, the doctors and nurses go after it first. But under the N.D.P. they did not increase the amount of spaces for students to take health care courses in University and College at all. Under the B.C Liberal government, that has changed, more spaces are continuing to happen. That is how we have more doctors and nurses staying here, because there are more being educated, meaning more are likely to stay here.

The economy was doing fine in B.C. until the N.D.P. came along, they ran deficit budgets, and by their own admission admitted they could not afford to pay for all the social programs, one year, at the rate the costs were mounting up. To say the N.D.P. had anything to do with it three years prior does not work, because the three years in between have to well managed period, and the Liberals were the ones who made the cuts. Now that more money is coming in, the Liberals are putting more money back into the programs. The booming economy under the Liberals, not wasting money on such programs as Fast Cat Ferries, but creating actual job opportunites, are what made a balanced budget possible. It was the B.C. Liberals, not the N.D.P. who made the biggest payment towards paying off the debt in B.C. history. The Federal Liberals have worked on job creation, but I think most importantly it is time to pay off the debt. The more money we are not spending on interest from past loans every year is more money we can spend on social programs. The federal Liberals also balanced the debt, where as the N.D.P. have never had a majority federal government to date, so they could not be responsible for the Liberals balancing the budget there. If anything Mulrooney helped with that, but would we credit his mistakes as help towards the Liberals? Maybe he helped spur them into the position to have the power to balance the budget, but he certainly did not do it himself when he had the chance.

The B.C. Liberals defeated a majority government because people were fed up at the N.D.P. They voted heavily for the oppostion, I do believe that is democracy in action. The B.C. Liberals have been doing good for the province, cuts were neccessary, it's ridiculous to ask tax payers to pay more than they can give. That hurts future generations, and is wrong since it does not benefit the people in the future. What proof is there that the Liberals are corrupt? Pierre Pedigrew recently said they cannot account for the money Brault is refering too. Scott Brison has also said that they had independant auditors look through the books and say that all donations were done with receipts. Scott Brison also defended the Prime Minister when Jack Layton unfairly attacked Paul Martin, Jack Layton basically said he should tell people his part in it. Scott Brison replied along the lines of the whole point of the inquiry was to protect the people who were not involved. Perhaps we should wait before accusing the Liberals of anything since the inquiry isn't finished, Bizud. That's the whole point of an inquiry is to find out what happened un-biased. Also, Scott Brison is a good example of how people can vote for the person not the party. His riding was a Conservative riding, he won it a couple times as a P.C. even before he switched parties. But in 2004 when he ran for the Liberals instead of the P.C.s he won, some have accounted his win to him rather than the party.

Under a minority situation it would take the same amount of time to vote them out. And it's unlikely any party would do anything to radical to get them voted out since everyone wants to become re-elected it seems.

To me, the N.D.P. is not the best scenario actually. The truth of the matter is, they would ruin our economy thus losing dollars to help fund their social programs. See when you raise the business mans taxes, more often than not, he does not pay for it, but the little guy does. The business man has control of the cost of his goods and/or services. So this leaves the little guy with less buying power which forces lay offs to cover the cost that is no longer coming in. This also reduces the general publics buying power further which means more lay offs, this cycle will most likely repeat until a reccession is reached, and could possibly even lead to a depression. So as less tax dollars coming in to pay for social programs and a now higher cost of living instead of helping the little guy, his situation has actually been worsened.

The Cabinet is still responisible, if a government is really that bad they will be voted out.

No they will not have to work together actually, look at the current Liberal government.

No, Layton asked for a Cabinet position, big difference. Martin refused on the grounds that this is not a coalition govenment, but Layton asked for power basically. People work together when they have to, like the European Union. But it takes a lot to make them to have to work together. Europe had to be basically destroyed before they did. Canada, risked much by going to war so everyone backed the government. But the truth of the matter is there would be little reason for people to work together in these times, considering Canada is doing better in the last year.

I like how you avoided Layton's request to the P.M. Also once you have so many votes they half them and so forth, and send your vote to someone else.

I liked the one where the guy was waiting for his wife to come home for his birthday and the cops sing what happened to her to him. Also the one where they are filming the adult movie was pretty funny. But last nights was an alright one, but I liked the one last week way better.

There's several more parties now, it's no longer a two party system. But, that does not change the fact that coalitions do not work. Look at Israel, they take hardliner stances because to pass bills, generally you need the support of hardliner parties so harsh stances are taken because of it. STV does not work because it gives half a vote to the Liberals because they have more votes and a full vote to a fringe party which does not work because that is not proportional representation.

The re-release was in the States because he had a new record company there. But, the British release was a first time release.

Fringe parties, eh? Like the Marijuana Party? Coalitions do not work, because then no one can pass anything controversial. It is a grab for more power though, that's why the N.D.P. is pushing it forward. Before you say it is not a grab for power, then why did their leader, Jack Layton, ask Prime Minister Paul Martin for a cabinet position after the last election? He is trying his hardest to give the N.D.P. more power at the expense of the country. Everyone wants to insult the Liberals, but they have done a good job, they balanced the budget, they have made some good calls, such as no to Missile Defence, and the Iraq war.

I doubt it will be a "White Light Rock and Roll Review" considering Matthew Good was just doing what musicians have done many times before.

Under the Liberals, more money has gone into health care as well as more spaces for students to learn the neccessary courses to treat patients. The N.D.P. did not do this, so if it is about medi-care the Liberals are doing a better job too.

Really just because some countries in Europe have it does not mean we have to have it. Quite frankly our system works best, and there's obvisouly a movement against Proportional Representation, considering they have voted before on whether or not to keep it.

Please, proportional representation is nothing more than smaller minority parties trying to exploit people for more power by offering worse representation.

The Liberals have been correcting the N.D.P.s mistakes, it took some time. And when was the last time taxpayers said yes to a tax raise?

That's definitely a bonus, having quick skits. I think that the show is pretty good as it is though. I really liked last weeks show also...

Nazi Germany. Or you could look at just how different some of Canada's parties are. They seem to all disagree with each other so it's unlikely they will work together.

The N.D.P. well over spent the amount of money they had each time and never did anything well with it. I am not saying we need the U.S. system but we have to consider the consequences of letting a government back in which could not balance the budget before. Tuition has to be kept at the rate of inflation or the schools lose money, it's quite ridiculous to expect otherwise, the taxpayers already pay for a large portion of the tuition.
