Click here... Someone's selling the Rodchester King's tape on EBay...

Look, the only reason they move realitively well in Europe is because they are more socialist than Canada is, however, Canada is reverting more towards Conservatism, bills will struggle to pass more and more like the same sex marriage bill under PR, the minority government demonstrated that.
-
You also have to consider that the Canadian Army generally does it's best to lose less people because of the idea of "one man is too many". Also the Canadian contribution was longer in both these wars and without the Canadians in the second World War, it would have been more likely the British would have lost before the U.S. was in the war. Many RCAF pilots were up in Scotland, and were lost simply because of how dangerous and unlikely they were to return. Also the Canadians patrolled the Atlantic Ocean protecting shipping routes from U-Boats not the Americans, if the supplies were lost they had to be replaced immeaditely or else the Nazi's could starve Britain out of the war.

It's on their website if you want to see it. Also the Conan performance was good intrumentally, but I was not to impressed with the vocals, except for Kurt Dahle's, I couldn't really hear his vocals to be able to pass judgement...

Rick, and Bradford were nothing that special. George was good, but that was because he generally did his research for the interviews.

From time to time they get a critiquer who isn't very funny and they seem to be in the show a lot, but generally they seem to change from week to week, so they also have really funny weeks as well.

You're probably a Political Sciences student so that's why you think you know so much. Quite frankly there is a much larger Conservative movement, in fact that's one of the first places people turned to once the sponsorship scandal was found out. They are also more likely to make the government before the N.D.P. or the Greens as well. But under the new system that is in place, the Greens received a nice sum of money for how many votes they had in the last election so they can better advertise themselves and maybe one day become a bigger party.
-
The Conservative movement has to do with everything, if they the Tories get elected (and that's more of a possibility than the N.D.P. ever getting elected) they have promised to re-look over somethings. Also it's the fact that people are reverting more towards traditionalism than these new representational systems which are less effective and slower than our current one.
-
Fair actually does not equal proportional, having bills moving at a good speed while still allowing discussion works better than slow moving ones that take forever to be passed.
-
They get fair representation now, everyone has a voice in the current system, however, in an effort to keep order we have a system which actually works to our advantage that way as well.

I am talking about B.C. referendums now, and most of them are decided by at least 60 percent which is fair for a life changing event. Also you seem to routinely forget the different social factors in Europe, which are not so strong here. There is a huge Conservatism movement right now (and not everyone involved is involved because of religous reasons), which can halt any progress that could be made. Also Canada's neighbour has an even bigger Conservative movement in which Canadians have to work with so slowing down progress instead of keeping it at a good pace will harm us even further.

Nothing does get done, you haven't proved otherwise in the billion other pages of debate in this forum.

That's fine because proportional representation will mean nothing will ever be accomplished so actually the current systems represents people's needs.

Another New Ll Tune...

But what did you think about the song? -
It's Survivor eleven.

This is life changing, the government does dictate some parts of your life, like health care, as well as other aspects, so I think it's a good idea to have more than a majority voting in favour of it.
-
The Limblifter myspace website (www.myspace.com/limblifter) now has a another new LL tune on it, "Windmilling", I think it's pretty good too.
-
It's been pretty interesting so far...
-
60 percent is not an absurd standard, this is a life changing thing, so I think having some safe guards in place are good to ensure that more than a majority have to want to have it.

What are you listening to?

It's been used in plenty of B.C. referendums, I even read in a book written by the first curator of the Vancouver Aquarium that when they wanted to expand a bit more there had to be a referendum where about 60 percent had to be approved because they were expanding in a park.
-
It's common practice to have 60 percent of the bar a referendum vote has to pass to become practice though in B.C., so it would be a bit more difficult to reach that goal.

Once Canada took Vimy Ridge it sent the Germans running in the opposite direction and they kept on running until the armistice...
