  1. My friend and I have been planning to make the treck from New Jersey to Bala for the concert this weekend for a while now. But, being silly Americans and completely unaware of Matt Good's immense Canadian popularity, we didn't think to buy tickets in advance. That was really stupid of us. Anyone have extras?
  2. Not to be repetative.. but I got In a World Called Catastrophe as well... though actually its pretty fitting for a former polisci major
  3. As Ellen (the Ellen) I'm going to have to second everything Jenni just said. Also - if by any chance Taylor is reading this and has the rest of the photos taken that night, I would definately be interested in seeing them. Another little memory of that concert -- that night Musique Plus filmed an interview with Matt in his teeny little dressing room. He let us sit in on it and when politics came up he referred to us as "his American friends" and the camera's panned to us. Now what I would give to see that videotape...

  5. I think it's the only half hour show that I watch anymore.. its just gotten funnier and funnier
  6. Generally I'm not one for conspiracies, but this one just amuses me: http://isbushwired.com/ If you have access to Salon, i definately recommend reading their two articles.
  7. I like Josh Marshall's talking points memo
  8. Though I've listened to Beautiful Midnight a ludicrous number of times, I've only finished I miss new Wave once. Generally it barely gets 10 seconds of play.
  9. Out of curiousity, what political blogs do you read regularly?
  10. While I don't agree with a thing he believes in, at least he believes in something. And he truly does seem to love his country, i suppose.
  11. i'm casting one vote (by mail) for the great state of oregon
  12. I've actually always felt that Matt's music takes a bit of effort to really get into. Generally, I have to listen to a song several times before I really appreciate it. It's only after I really grasp the lyrics that I'm addicted. That said, when sharing MG/MGB with friends I find that the faster pace ones are easiest for new listeners.
  13. being the musical guest on snl is unfortunately nothing to be proud of anymore these days.
  14. Hello Time Bomb played as a single on the radio in my hometown of Oregon. Several months later MGB played in a small venue in New Jersey near where I went to school at the time. My roommate and I couldn't get 'Let's Get It On' out of our head for days.. and the obsession still lingers.
  15. 1. Apparitions 2. AoPC 3. Weapon
