Kid A (radiohead)
somethingrandom replied to Crusader's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
As I don't have 2 copies of Kid A, I'm just going to ask, what happens? -
Cool. I didn't realize Pat was from the Odds.

Loser Anthems has a cool cover. It's pretty much a rip off of Animals by Pink Floyd. I think Beautiful Midnight has the nicest cover though.

Last Of The Ghetto Astronauts Raygun EP Underdogs Beautiful Midnight Loser Anthems EP Audio Of Being (limited edition) Avalanche White Light Rock & Roll Review (digipack) History Teacher (2 disc bootleg of pre MGB demos) 15 Hours On A September Thursday (the actual demo) Villian Of The Year t-shirt At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say book (with mailaway booklet featuring 2 additional stories that were left out of the original printing) That's it... Gordon looks better in a goatee. ;)

It's an alright song. I'm glad I have it, but it definately wouldn't have worked on WLR&RR.
-
Ok, so the US version of BM always had a couple remixed Underdogs tracks, I just wanted to write something catchy. ;) So, who's heard them? Are they any good? As a Canadian, would it be worth it for me to have it imported just so I can have them because I'm a completest and must have everything?
-
Oh yeah and one more thing, does anyone have a copy of History Teacher with out the clicks on the last couple tracks of each disc, or is that a problem with every copy out there? (it is a problem mine have at least ;))
-
Since it wasn't answered, I'll ask too. What's the Hub?
-
The only think it lists on that site now it Beautiful Midnight, and it is the US version... so I guess it might be worth it for the Underdogs remixes...

least favourite matt good songs
somethingrandom replied to Devil On Rollerskates's topic in Matthew Good
Absolutely anything off of WLR&RR. /shudder Also a couple of tracks off of Avalanche like: In A World Called Catastrophe Lullabye For The New World Order Song For The Girl Double Life -
I've only heard about half of those so far. ;) So I'm going with Comfortable Criminals because I love that song.

I'd be all for going through the artist rather than the label, but I don't believe in paying for mp3s. I'm not necesarily pro-piracy but I'm not going to shell out money to anyone for something as impermanent as an mp3. What happens if my harddrive gets slagged before I get a chance to rip the file? Then I've blown that money for nothing. Now if they were offering CDs, that would be completely different.

I heard Dave Genn was in a band before MGB called DSK. Has anyone heard of them? What are they like? I'd be really interested in hearing some of their music, but I have no idea where to look to find it.
-
So what have the other boys been upto since Matt went solo and took Rich with him? Are they making music still? I hope so, I'd love to hear it.
-
I really don't know why I like the music. It's different than everything else out there (seriously, name one band that sounds like MG), it's catchy, thought provoking and I just like the style of it.

Who Do You Think Is The Most Talented Musician?
somethingrandom replied to Devil On Rollerskates's topic in Matthew Good
Dave. For sure. -
Wow congrats on the recent donations man. I wish I had thought of panhandling. ;)

I had a hard time choosing between LOTGA and AOB, but finally I chose LOTGA. ;)

Wow. I bow before your thread hijacking skills. ;) I liked Hero... I think... I'm really not sure haha. It was a very "pretty" movie. The use of colour was great and the choreography for the fight scenes was very well done. And the story idea was good. But it was kind of slow in spots, and it wasn't at all what I expected it to be. I really thought it was going to be more epic, or more "Crouching Tiger-ish" (which is probably what a lot of people thought). I dunno. I'm really honestly torn about whether I liked it or not.

/puts on flameproof suit I really liked Pitch Black, It was a good sci-fi horror movie. The acting wasn't the best but the story was good and the special effects were cool. As for Chronicles of Riddick.... /drool It was such an epic sci-fi movie. And we really need more of those (really, other than Star Wars and Alien, there aren't any really epic space-based sci-fi movies). It was supposed to be the first part of a trilogy (which was being billed as the dark brother of Star Wars lol) I hope poor box office sales don't doom the next two. I think once COR comes out on DVD it will develop a cult following like Pitch Black did.
-
Wow that looks good. I really want to see it. I hope it's better than Hero, which was a very pretty movie in my opinion but was really short on story. I was expecting Hero to be more epic than it was. ;)
