I just got a message form a friend who had driven from New York to attend the show. He watched Matt being carried away on a stretcher. Hopefully all is okay.

Gob and MGB were both opening for Moist. Saw them in Kitchener, t'was great.

You are correct on both points. This disc is going to blow everyone away. The video for Rabbits (what I've seen of it) is going to be fucking amazing. And the acoustic part... some of the songs are unrecognizable. But in such a good way. I remember hearing it and sitting kinda open mouthed in awe of it. Probably drooling a bit. PTD specifically. My god, and I thought the original was good... Yowza. How have you seen/heard all this?!? ;) Dont ask. Just trust her. She knows her stuff....also it might have to do with hanging out with Matt not so long ago when she was in BC. One should never question the Umboula and remember,the Umboulas main diet consists of beets. Okay what am I going on about here?

Thats exactly it....not the rain that worries me per-se....its the thunder storms...they seem to have moved on for now... Ill be sure to post an update one way or another on how things go....heres hoping that there is no real life recreation of the beautiful midnight cover.

Still raining heavy....however not insane like it was before....but definatly what you would call heavy....the thunder and lightning seems to have moved off into the distance.... The question is at what point do they make the call? Their website looks like my dog did it, I get the feeling we would find out from Matt before we hear anything from the venue....

No not at all good....it has slowed up rainwise but youcan still hear the thunder ....but if you have ever been here before its a big ol metal stage setup basically in a field...itsurrounded by fields and a golf course.....noone in their right mind would want to stand near or on such a setup in weather like this....the question is does it clear up in time....or do we find out after driving from god knows where that there is no show.....I get the feeling that a bunch of folks are calling or their phone is off the hook as it keeps going right to their machine....

If there even is a show....I live about 60 seconds from the venue....we are getting fucking spanked right now....craziest fucking storm I have seen in ages.... More wate fallen in the last 10 minutes then the last 6 months...lightining thunder...but our power is back on... The phone line is busy and the mail box is full... So how and when do we find out if this bad boy has been cancelled?

It would be nice to see a toss up....but you can count on all the standards as per usual....it would be great if some of them were re worked like the first few shows after the band broke up.....one can hope for an all acoustic encore with some buried treasures from the past..... Maybe Ill be surprised and there will be a complete overhaul.... I am wondering more then anything if the bunny costume makes an apperance / if there is anything referring to it on the set....

Cheers. http://www.edge.ca/thursday30/ UPDATE: Opening band starts at 9 and Matt will be on at 9:30 (so I'm told) The opener may be on at 9:00 , but even so, there is no way Matt will be on at 9:30. Its hot hot hot and the bar wants to sell as many beers and $42 bottles of water as possible, that is after all the only reason why they have brought Matt in for the evening, Not to mention I have never seen anyone at this venue come on at 9:30, this is at least my third time seeing Matt play at this exact venue and he has never been on that early....same guys own Moose and Goose aka Front 54, and hell last time we went there for a show we left before the band even came on because it was taking WAAAAAAY TO LONG.......would be great if he was.....in fact I would really like it if he was on at 9:30 my guess is 10 at the earliest and more then likely around 10:30.... I guess we will know in a few hours....

Right or by having a friend at U of T, I just see how they could possibly sell enough tickets with U of T alone. I have the internet, which leads to connections with someone out there at U of T, I was hoping that someone may be able to explain the process more / provide a link. I see your update, and I may go to one of those, however wonderland is closer, and saturday night is better, Im 26 so age does not apply..... Hmmmm.... Maybe something will work out....where are all those backstage passes when you cant just purchase tickets....

Ok. So U of T students only? Or have we found a way around this yet? Kingswood is what 8 - 12k? I just dont see how thats possible? If anyone has any further info, like how a non student or 3 could get in, it would be greatly appreciated. Do you think they are just going to / have been selling tickets from the Kingswood box office? Comments, Questions, Suggestions......
