  4. Indeed.. nice pics.. thanks for sharing ;) What camera are you using?
  5. From my ipod listenings over lunch... Who Are You - The Who Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Greg Laswell I Don't Remember - Peter Gabriel Keeper - Butterfly Boucher New In Town - Little Boots
  6. Guilty as charged, indeed I was a cheerleader for 4 years .. please don't hold it against me ... it was many moons ago  As I'm Canadian, I spent more time at hockey games cheering than at football ;) .. although I liked the latter better because I got to get out of class 30 mins early to ride on the bus with the football team to each game... ah, memories... How can I work this back to the topic at hand... hmmm.... K-I-C-K-A-S-S...*clapping*
  7. Couldn't agree more ;) That was a cheer back in my high school cheerleading days..after scoring a goal.. A-W-E-SO-ME.. AWE-SOME...AWE-SOME...TO-TO-TA-LLY!! (clapping and shaking pom poms) Sorry, a little trip back memory lane there... as you were...
  8. I couldn't agree more... I'm not a big GA fan... and there is no way in Ottawa I want to be sitting outside in the winter waiting to claim a spot for decent views... brrr! I thought it was nice idea that Hawksley Workman had when I bought tickets a bit back for his 2010 show; when you got one of the "limited" tix he had available through his site, your ticket is marked to allow you get in 15 min earlier than others to claim a good seat.. a good idea for a general admission show... @Audio of Being.. the ushers were a real pain on the 18th.. tried to get near the stage to get a pick and they wouldn't let anyone get near it if you weren't already in the first few rows... @Computer - hey, I took that picture (of Milos anyway ;))
  9. Great minds think alike.. or is it fools seldom differ? ;) That is my favorite song.. even says so on my profile
  10. Seems he thought a little sarcasm was in order ;) See his newest blog entry for clarification ...
  11. Hey there.. right back at ya! Always fun to go with another fan ;) Although it appears by all accounts I really missed the "highlight" show... I'm envious... Glad you were able to get some pictures, even if the conditions weren't ideal.
  12. Speaking of twitter, has anyone seen the recent MG tweets that just happened in the last hour..?
  13. Which part.. the intoxicated girls or the camera policy ? ;) I generally expect the camera issue, although of late at the NAC, they have been more forgiving. They certainly relaxed it for the MG show, and before that lots of professional looking cameras at the The Hip which the staff turned a blind eye to (unfortunately I didn't bring it to that one .. granted I was in the rafters so it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway for the lenses I have).
  14. It was a great show... really enjoyed myself, with the exception of the two intoxicated girls in front of me who kept taking goofy pictures of themselves with their cell phones and jumping up and down with their hands in the air the whole night... FYI if you plan on bringing a DSLR, I suggest not... I got a few pics in, then got told that if you have a removable lens, considered a pro camera and they are banned. They wanted to take away my camera and check it (which I was really reluctant to do so we agreed I'd keep it just not use it). I was closely watched for the rest of the night... they were even patrolling at times through the encore....
  15. Well, the tix aren't too bad.. Rt floor row J ;)
  16. Thanks so much..... I'll look forward to seeing yours from the Sat show ;) BTW, if you happen to see me on Friday.. be sure to smile and wave!
  17. I think so... I'll try anyway.... I know what I did wrong at the last show, (photographically speaking), so I'm hoping to improve ;)
  18. Unexpectedly, I ended up winning a pair of tickets from TheVergeXM today to see Matt Good on the 18th... I'm traveling in from Ottawa to see it but I hate for a ticket to go to waste. So, if you don't mind sitting by me, there is an empty chair with your name on it ;) Just message me and we'll make arrangements. Admittedly I have no idea where the tickets are situated (floor/balcony/gallery) so I'm just hoping it is somewhere with a good vantage point for taking pics...cross fingers!
  19. If you are looking to see some photos that I took at the NAC, check out MGs personal Flickr page .. you could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw they were posted ;) I'll put some more to the Flickr mg2009tour group page when I get my Flickr account figured out. I'm hoping to take some more at Massey Hall on Friday, but I likely won't have the same vantage point  And indeed, it was my first show.. I'm late to the MG fan club party.. thanks for the link! So sad I didn't see that show.. I definately missed out... however, I am making up for it now since this will be three shows in a week (NAC, BRAVO taping, Massey Hall)
  20. I was thinking the exact same thing
  21. Is anyone familiar with The Club on Water Street in Rochester.. that's probably the closest venue to me, if I wanted to go stateside and make a weekend of it.. would be cool to see the last show ;)
  22. That likely was me... I had asked MG about taking cameras on Twitter but never really got a clear response; I did see some chatter about it on his mgtour2009 group.. I figured it was worth a try... I should have brought just my plain 50mm lens though, along with the 90mm.. unfortunately many of my shots didn't turn out as well as they could have been.. too excited to keep the camera steady ;) Too bad I didn't know to look out for so many people from this site to say "hi"...
  23. Me three.. since I just went to TO from Ottawa for Bravo.. I don't think I can go back again for Wednesday ;) It appears you can request tickets through this link: http://www.cbc.ca/thehour/content/tickets.html
  24. I had a great time at the Bravo taping.. admittedly due to some poor transit planning on my part, I didn't get there early and got one of the last seats on the floor.. unfortunately, my seat was in the way of one of the cameras so he asked me to move (very apologetically) twice... I'm sure there's lots of shots of the back of my head and likely one of me singing along silently to Us Remains Impossible.. when it airs, if you see someone fitting that description wearing black patent stiletto boots, well look no further as to who it is ;) The dialogue in between the interviews and songs was too funny.. the "Hi I'm Matt for Heineken" made me snicker... Actually, I was fortunate enough to get a setlist after the Bravo taping. One of the crew (the one who was giving Matt his guitars, if anyone remembers his name, please let me know) started asking me how I liked the taping and we discussed briefly the Ottawa concert. He just went backstage and came out and gave me his copy of the setlist w/ the guitar changes written on it.. I thought that was a really sweet gesture since I didn't ask for it. They were really friendly. FYI.. thanks, you're making me blush ... Oh, I took a few pics at the Ottawa concert.. soon I'll add them to the Flickr mg2009tour group...
  25. I couldn't agree more! I was hoping to ask for a pick but the crew was none to impressed about that guy who got on stage.. total jerk! In the end, they did give a setlist to someone and that guy was really pissed off ..... Totally thrilled he played Its Been Awhile Since I Was Your Man.. was that played at any other venue? Oh, and thanks again for the CC tix, BTW - first MG concert and now I'm hooked ;)
