I hope he has meet and greets in the US acoustic version... I keep forgetting to get a picture with him. Matt didn't post this pic I took at the Ottawa stop but I like it so I'm putting it here :)

The dates were just announced for the spring solo acoustic tour, with a few more dates to follow.. 18 cities thus far (Feb 10th to March 7th).... the Pittsburgh is listed as TBA for date of sale but some cities go on sale on the 11th of November

Darn.. I wish I had gotten a shirt. I'm kicking myself. I went back to give my card to Jimmy and totally forgot about the merch. Hopefully some will be available on the website post tour *crossing fingers*

I couldn't agree more. When I was backstage, they were very accomodating and nice to me, showing me where I could stand, lighting my way so I didn't trip over anything. His guitar tech even made the point of telling me to get closer for photos, and move the curtains so I could get a good shot. It was really a very positive experience. I'm envious of anyone who is going tonight and kicking myself that I didn't go see him twice ( in Montreal for example). I'm crossing my fingers for Vermont or NY stops on a US tour.

Thanks :) I wish I had gone back there earlier, and switched lenses from what I was using just before (front of house)..... I'm really fond of that pic of him just about to go on stage but i buggered the dof due to the lens I was using... still, it kind of has an image one might find in "liner notes" sort of feel to it..... imho :)

I really did, thank you... with my ticket, I would have been more to the right.... but in the end I never really got to sit in it. I ended up with a photo pass so that kept me pretty busy, and inhibits the enjoyment of just sitting in the audience and listening. Then again, it adds another element I love which is concert photography :)

Haven't been about in a long time here .. interesting read. Really looking forward to tonight's show. Tried to get vip tix but the website seemed to be non-functional when I tried. So, I still got quazi-middle 4th row and I'm hoping, like last tour, the NAC allows cameras. Anyone else attending.. wave :)

I wondered as he had hurt his hand and had a small brace on his forearm for the show. Yes, to go see concerts..- I guess this also slides into the question 2 questions above me ;) I'm I bit busy over the next few months.... He's on the secondary stage at 8pm. Normally, his set would need to finish before the main stage.. Crowded House plays the main stage at 9:30 pm. I anticipate his set would be about 75 minutes, give or take, just from previous experience at the venue. I know that he played around 2001 and 2 years ago, but I didn't see those performances. I do know for sure that his performance will not be acoustic, and he'll be out with the boys again. My best guess is that his setlist will be in keeping with his US Vancouver tour.

According to the Ottawa Bluesfest Website, Matt is playing Thursday, July 15th at 8pm on the Claridge Homes stage. I think he's playing against Marianas Trench. There are still lots of holes in the program, but you can see the schedule as it stands on their site (by artist, stage, date). www.ottawabluesfest.ca

As I kid I had sonambulism (sleepwalking) - as an adult, I don't ambulate anymore but I do have somniloguy (talk in my sleep). Most of it is nonsense but I can have full out conversations from time to time. As it happens I neglected to mention that early in my relationship, and their first introduction to it was me sitting fast up in bed and shouting "Look out, he's got a knife!".. then promply laid back down in bed, scaring the #@!$ out of him as he looked around the room wondering WTF? Are you an electric toothbrush kind of person, or go with the traditional ?
