Also, look at the track 5 matchup and look how they got to this point? I don't understand how each song has a fair shot... like Nights was against 2 Underdog tracks and Suburbia (one of his best) was against Jenni's Song and one I've never heard of... Which leads me to my last question? What is the song Agoraphobe from?

I still can't believe Jenni's song won over Suburbia for someone... and I'm shocked that HOSAM vs SWW is kind of close. In my mind they're leagues apart, but to each his own

Probably not as 'hero'-esque as the selections above me, but mine is Alex Turner. He's my age, has already written 4 number albums, and he doesn't seem like the typical douchebag rock star. Plus he fronts my favourite band and in my eyes, everything he's ever touched has been gold. He's well on his way to becoming one of the greats.

The reason this mixtape idea came up at all is because he heard Fine Art of Falling Apart in my room one day and he asked who it was, and comment on how great the guy's voice was. Whatever my final track listing is, I'll be sure to post it. Also, I noticed johnny posted "Can't Get Shot In The Back"... where do I find the studio recording of that? I can only find the demo or a poor website rip from the Hospital Music stream back in the day? Is it available on iTunes as a single track? EDIT: Nevermind, saw it in the store ;)

A Weekend In The City is their best work in my opinion, although considered worst by many fans. Musically, Hunting For Witches is awesome (mostly the intro) but the lyrics make the song nearly unlistenable to me. From Uniform until the end of the album is pure bliss. On, Kreuzberg, and Sunday standing out. Apparently Kele Okereke (frontman) is going solo and the drummer has come out and said when Bloc Party reconvenes he may not return at all to drumming. Such a waste. One of the best drummers in rock music.

I'm currently studying abroad and one of the guys in my building is from Toronto and loves all these singer/songwriters and I ask if he likes Matt Good and he said he doesn't really have an opinion. In short, he's heard Load Me Up/Hello Time Bomb but even those songs he's fairly unfamiliar with. I love turning people on to new music, especially when Matt should be right up this dude's musical alley. If you had to make a mix of 12-15 songs from Matt to help get someone into the water, what would you pick? I'm not sure whether to simply tell him to get In A Coma, get Avalanche, or get him a mix of my favourites and hits? Any suggestions on what you would include?
