  1. I always liked it as well. Short but sweet. He said what he needed to say. ;)
  2. That's too bad about the booze. I'm not against having a drink now and then, but I don't get people that go to things like this, and then get so wasted that they can't remember that they acted like a complete moron and pissed everyone off. Ah well, in a perfect world everyone would have a 2 drink limit.
  3. There's dickheads in every city. There were a bunch of Dickheads at the show I went to in Vancouver. Shouting all through his talking, all through slow songs, any time there was a quiet period with the possibility that they would be heard, they yelled. Play this and that. Blah Blah Blah. I found it rude and disrespectful, to him and to everyone else there who paid good money to see him. There are always going to be the Dickheads that just go to the shows becuase their girlfriends made them, or because they heard " Everything is Automatic" 12 years ago , and think it's a cool song, and therefore it's no big deal to them. But there's always going to be vast majority that are just thankful that he is still performing. I personally think serving alcohol at these venues only increases the ammount of Dickheads in the audience. That might be something he thinks about for the next time he tours, if he has any control over that at all. That's all. Just wanted you to know Saskatoon, that it's not just your city with disrespectful idiots.
  4. LOL, well there's that too. As I said, I have never been to back to back shows, but I have heard of other artists playing basically the same show twice. Glad to know I'll get something different with him, but of course, I should have known. ;)
  5. MGB-Born to Kill MG-Blue Skies Over Badlands.
  6. I'm pretty sure I saw someone mention that he was, but I'm not 100% sure. The set lists were different, so I would imagine they were filming both nights, and he played different shows to give CBC a bit of everything. I may be speculating, but it would be cool.
  7. Hmmm, well I did check their website, but so far nothing. I will try to email them though, thanks for the tip. ;)
  8. Does anyone know how to find out when the Vancouver shows will be aired on CBC Newsradio? They recorded at the November 9th show (I'm not sure about the second show) and Matt specifically said that it was not being recorded for "a release or anything like that" but I am assuming that CBC Radio will air the shows. Anyone know anything more than that?
  9. I really wish now that I had just sprung for the second show. I haven't ever seen back to back shows, and I was assuming that it would be quite like the first, but after reading what you guys said, it would have been worth it to get tickets for both shows. I feel a bit sad now ;) Oh well, I hadn't seen him since Avalanch tour ( for various reasons) and that was when I lived in Calgary, so I'm just really happy that I got to see him on home turf again. Perhaps I will buy tickets for both shows next time. Enjoy the upcoming shows everyone !!
  10. OH yeah, I forgot Nights Like Tonight. And I agree, too many morons.
  11. I had the joy of going to the first Vancouver show, and it sounds like it may have been the best so far. We got 2 hours of wonderful, energetic music, and a bit of conversation. I am never dissapointed at his shows, and this was one of the best I have seen. He actually, to my surprise, played the entire Vancouver album, though he played so much stuff, that I am having a hard time remembering in which order he played. Of course he can't play every everyone's favorite songs, so I think it's silly that people actually complain about what he doesn't play, instead of happy for what he does play. I loved, loved, loved it, and it was worth the wait. Keep it up Matt. I'm very tired from last night, so, sorry for the typos ;)
  12. Thanks for posting those, pretty good interviews!
  13. My guess would be that it will be the second single. It sounds like one for sure.
  14. While We Were Hunting Rabbits. Silent Army in the Trees VS. The War is Over
  15. Tried to listen to the whole thing, but I at work so can't or couldn't listen to it all in full. Will try again when I get home to listen to it on the website, but I dont think he sounded like crap. He sounded ok to me. Can't wait for the show!!!
