So, most of the vocals levels seem to not be as in for the forfront. Some parts, when listening to the tape sounded like they weren't balanced between left and right but not jarring, and the digital track seems worse to my ears and is jarring. Invasion 1 has a longer feedback fadeout and i kind of like it more. Wasn't a lot of other things i noticed with my untrained ear. On side 2, after the first track "Out Of Style" there is a long weird staticy gap, not sure if that was to be something or was just padding out the side of the tape. Recording from the tape adds a lot of static, so i've been playing around with noise reduction to see what works nicely. I also might change some recording settings and see how/if that changes any captured sound. I've given Adam an unedited capture to listen to and see what kind of noise reduction he can do too

Have a new capture card/cable and cables coming tomorrow, so hopefully this weekend i will have time to get a decent digitization done. Found part of my issue was the capture device wasn't acting as a proper USB mic and the build in mic was overriding and making it all terrible haha so hopefully that was the full issue

i got one a month ago and it was TERRIBLE. returned immediately. Had to crank the volume on the volume scroll wheel to get any volume on the usb output, and that was still very quiet. if you touched it, that transferred to the recording. it was sooooo noisy and squealy while running. i'm going to play with my mic inputs and see if maybe that was it

Got this in the mail today! Interesting track order and spelling errors. I get shortending titles, but Seasons of Change sounds strange haha I was trying to digitize it, but was getting a weird latency between my stereo and what the computer was recording. I'll have to look into it later. Might be my stereo finally kicking the bucket after all these years. WIth the issues I didn't get far into listening to it yet. Invasion 1 seemed less polished at the starting. Also was weird starting with that song...

I could always upload them to my site, and either on my youtube account or we just let whoever always takes from my site to add to youtube do that part haha I assume some are ones that are already out there but maybe better quality will come of this?

I had that one and I still have a white one I bought at the show in Grande Prairie together. the white one has the "XXX Hard Liquor & Handguns Revolution 2001" on it with "I Survived the Revolution" on the back so I feel it's part of that era.

still wish i could track down few singles i'm missing Songs have come in here and there and I still enjoy them. We'll see what (if) future work feels like. But old stuff just has too much of my life wrapped into it and for the most part I'd separated art/artist so it's been pushed more to fully separated is all.

i got my first one a few weeks ago. my arm was sore the next day, but that's pretty typical of any vaccine. otherwise nothing different. my next one is supposed to be in august, we have a weird way of doing it...

There's a few comments here that have made me want to close this thread, but it'd just cause more issues. It's a lot to process. Everyone feels differently about it. Everyone has an opinion that differs. Some are kind enough to explain and share share points of reason, others are assholes who are apparently the only ones who are right. ? It's a discussion that is of a difficult nature and kind of hard to "police". At least we didn't go the route of the original subreddit or the Facebook group and just say fuck it you can't have any discussions.

i thought it was Royal City Archers as the "band/artist" and song title is Triage, especially as the filename is Triage, and it was said released song under the moniker "Royal City Archers"
