I liked it....quite a bit actually. I thought the vast majority of the questions were intelligent & very un-fanboyish. So congratulations to those of you who posed those questions & to Crusader(?) for chosing those to put to Matt. Matt's replies for the most part were concise, but honest & direct. I thought he could have elaborated more on a few of them, but I was actually quite stoked to read this. It was a wonderful insight into someone that we all respect & admire greatly. So thanks to Matt for taking the time to answer them & of course to all those behind the questions! Great job people!

LOL! Yeah, I am a bit of a freak like that for collecting limited edition shit.

This poll's a little tougher for me. I think I am gonna go with ANTI-POP though. I like the humor in it. THE FUTURE IS X-RATED is exceptionally cool too though!!!! **Grins**
-
For me it's Audio Of Being. I like all those atlas like illustrations & the fact that it was initially released with black, white & grey covers was cool too. I got all three. Beautiful Midnight is very cool too though. What are your thoughts?

Truffle Pigs......honesty is not always the best policy. But in this case it most definetly is!!! I do agree.....GIANT with a buch of scantily clad cheerleaders would totally rock!!!

I have 2 copies: One is 16093 and the other is 01332.

I said ALALANCHE earlier & I can stick with that, but right now i am on an AOB trip. But you know, I get massively into each one of them in phases & if you posted this topic every couple of months I would give a different answer each time. There is not a MG/B album I have not been totally consumed by at one time or another. Like I said, it's all a cycle.

This is really tough, but I gotta go with INDESTRUCTIBLE. Man, that song just kicks. EVERYTHING IS AUTOMATIC is a real sentimental favorite for me though....it was the song that introduced me to MGB.
-
I wish Matt would come post every once in a while. That would be awesome & spark plenty of conversation I am sure.

Infinately cooler than 95% of the people on that poll...that's for sure!

i lived in corpus for a month i hated it more than any place ive ever been Corpus & South Texas in general is the single biggest shithole I have ever lived in. I hate it with a passion. I can't wait to get to Nashville in about 4 or 5 months!!!

Rat is a tour de force man.....especially vocally. Jesus, what a song!!! I'm in another land when I hear that song.

Well said. I am not Canadian, although I wish I lived in Alberta. But being as I don't, I don't much care whether Matt speaks more about Canadian Politics. If I was living in Canada & was able to vote there, then yes I would like to hear much more Canadian politics from him, cause we all know that he is the straightest of shooters....he doesn't mince his words & he speaks his mind with little or no fear of retribution. That is refreshing in the political arena. But I am not in Canada....so I just want music & shitloads of it!

Free Download is the best song on there!!! **cough - bullshit - cough**

Yeah, Maverick...thanks. I am aware of the lyrics mate. The quote I have attached to my posts is a little play on words from that song. When the chaos of lifes seems to overwhelm at times, I try to remember that there is a subconscious part of me that is guiding me to where I need to be...to where I am supposed to be. That is to say that everyTHING is going to be alright & indeed everyTHING is alright. That same subconscoius part of me that is guiding me is something I don't necessarily think about- it's automatic. Thus EveryTHING is automatic. It's kinda like a little mantra for me...an affirmation if you will. So with that being said:
-
Carmelina would kick as an opener too. Giant would go off though I must agree....& has many times I am sure
-
What song do you like or would you like to see Matt open with at a show? For me I think EVERYTHING IS AUTOMATIC would be a kick-ass opener. But I have never seen him live, so I'd be happy hearing him cough up a loogie for an opener!!!LOL!!! At least I would be at a show!!! Hahahaaaa.

What's the weirdest thing you ever saw at a MG/MGB concert, either by Matt, a band member or someone in the crowd?
-
For me it's Buffalo Seven, VERY closely followed by Badlands, & closely followed again by Bad Idea & Empty Road. I do really like this album, but it really has such a different feel from anything else he has done. I have not got as heavily into it as his others (that is pretty damn heavy mind you!!!!). I am on an Avalanche trip again now actually. I'm lovin' Pledge all over again!!!!! Rabbits...Fantastica....Lullaby! Wow, what an album!!!

Hi, I have been reading in a few threads that Matt Good is a disgruntled/pissed off man of late. I have been mired in a lot of my own shit this past few months....divorce, work, finances etc. & I just have not had the desire to get into anyone elses shit other than my own. Hence, I am totally oblivious to what these disgruntled comments relate to. Can someone link me to a blog of his that may explain the situation? That'd be cool rather than having to search through the plethora of blogs on his site. Thanks alot.

Perhaps e-bay man.
-
For me it's Viking closely followed by Life beyond..... Just amazing songs. Matt just ****ing emotes. So awesome.
-
LOL!!! Geez....someone obviously can't read!!!
-
Aside from his album releases, what Matthew Good collectibles & other cool stuff do ya'll own? I have the yellow soccer jersey, the black audio of being T-shirt, the white T with the soccer ball logo, some blue MGB stickers & guitar pics....the soccer patch....a signed copy of "At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say", some Australian only release singles from Beautiful Midnight....that's about it I think. How about you guys?

Ok, so what song got you into Matthew Good/Matthew Good Band at the very start? Were you blown away instantly, or was his music something that grew on you over time? For me, I was living in Alberta in 1997-98 & I was watching Much one day....well actually, Much was on the TV....I was doing something in the house....not actually watching it....just listening. Anyways, this kick-ass guitar riff came on & 15 seconds into this song I was hooked....I ran to the TV, planted myself in front of it & waited for the artist & title to come up.....MATTHEW GOOD BAND - EVERYTHING IS AUTOMATIC. I was blown away instantly....What a ****in' song!! That day I went out & bought Underdogs off the strength of that song & loved it. I have been a Matthew Good freak ever since. Everything he has done has impacted me in the same way that "Everything is Automatic" did initially. That was a great day in my life......discovering Matthew Good. Awesome!!!!
