As someone who was at this show, I felt that the main set was lacking a bit....but once he got to the encores it's like Matt turned it up a notch....and as everone here is saying, Fated was the highlight of the night....it honestly felt like I was hearing that song for the first time. I want this show.

I heard an ad on the radio for Vancouver.....said featuring "Last Parade" and "Us Remains Impossible"...guess we know what the second single will be.

Everyone loves this album but me it seems...I was a huge fan of their last one but theres not much to this one....I'm not feeling it.

Upon further listens I am very disappointed in this album...I don't even feel like listening to it anymore....shame... p.s. Undisclosed Desires may be the most embarrassing song ever written.....

I really like the first 5 songs on it but it trails off for me after that....Poor Man's Grey and Empty Road are awesome! The only real problem with Blue Skies that I have is that it kind of feels out of place on the record in that there are a bunch of 2- 3 1/2 minute songs and then an 8 minute song out of nowhere....just breaks the flow of the album a bit.....I give the album a 3 overall.

Its amazing....the symphony at the end may be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

As far as I know, Matt's always maintained that it was accidental...

After first listen...favourite track is Volcanoes. (though I kind of expected that) having heard the demos countless times there are absolutely no surprises, but thats my own fault.

I heard on 102.1 the edge in Toronto (it's also on their site) that Matt will be playing The CASBY's. October 22...could be another Toronto date around there.

They are from an extra verse to Suburbia that was played live in the early 2000's.

I have some severe demoitis with this song....i really miss the guitar at the end from the demo. ;) I thought this could've been a single going from the demo, but not now.

Hot damn! I just heard this song for the first time. I didn't really know what to expect from it. When Matt said it was really just a joke song he made....I expected a shitty joke song. But this is a really good, fully fleshed out song. Not to mention, it's catchy as hell. Now I wish it was on the album. ;)

I remember watching this when it first aired...brings back great memories. I love hearing Strangest One Of All live. Thanks for posting these.

Not a fan of their new cd. Really like Hopes and Fears. Under The Iron Sea is friggin incredible.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood. I just went back and read his post about his demoing process and I think you are right.

I don't think that Hospital Music was just demos with new drum tracks. I believe what he meant by that statement was to record the drums, they just used the demos that he had prepared, muted the already present drum tracks, Pat played along to the recording of the demo and then Matt went from there to recreate the rest of the songs in the studio with real instruments.

I find that Matt sounds so bored and unpassionate while singing the MGB stuff. My favourite track on it is probably 99%.

Cool, finally have it! I like the Hospital Music songs more live than the album versions; but the older stuff, I have heard better live versions. Still loving it though!
