  1. Pearl Jam is numero 1. Matt's top 5 for sure, though he'd probably fall behind Radiohead and certain parts of U2's discography as well.
  2. I was listening to Castaways and CUtouts or Cutouts and Castaways or whatever yesterday for the first time in ages. That's a damn fine record
  3. I still want Angel back....
  4. Actually, she's scottish, but thanks for playing along at home. ;) If you guys are actually interested in listening to a good band, the new Bloc Party album Silent Alarm hit stores tuesday. It's probably the best release so far this year. Although I'm sure i'll be disagreed with vehemently...
  5. Love the respect for PJ. DTE is easily the best video... props to Radiohead for Street Spirit too... Tool's video's really aren't that good, except Prison Sex, which is creepy as all hell...
  6. Kilmer at least has a little bit of gravitas going for him. And he kind of got the depressed and slightly reserved air that Bruce Wayne should have. Clooney just played himself, little "i'm such hot shit" smirk the entire time and all... Keaton was the best, but hopefully Bale can step up to the plate.
  7. lets not over exaggerate here. Deloused was barely the jaw dropping opus people made it out to be and frances is just more of the same. ATDI>>Sparta>Mars Volta... You heard it here first.
  8. They could cast a fucking monkey and it would be better than clooney's rendition. That and a monkey batman would probably be more coherent than the two schumacher travestys. I have high hopes for this one... they've got the look right I just hope they have the story...
  9. i was at that show... all my short friends were trying to figure out what it said. ah memories.

    Best Of WLRRR

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww We're so heavy by miles....
  11. do you enjoy watching a band hide behind their instruments while playing music exactly like it is on the CD???? i would have the say RHCP were the worst band live and biggest disappointment in ym life. Preach on... especially after the spectacular show the stone temple pilots ha put on it was even that much more dissapointing.
  12. next time they tour it shold be your solemn duty as a fan of music to see them
  13. Explain to me how in four pages Pearl Jam was only mentioned once, and it was after MG and the hip... jesus kids...
  14. that's really all it's missing...
  15. ;) beave is oh so right
  16. The reason for that is that he's like the biggest rock star on the planet. By far. MuchMusic had cameras around when Raine Maida and Sam Roberts and David Usher and whole bunch of other people went over to third world countries to do pieces and stuff. Matt never did that.
  17. No the control scheme is entirely different. Well not so different that people that have come up with the series will feel out of place, but it's different enough that it makes it infinitly more playable than any past iterations.
  18. Jaded's really right here. I'm assuming most of the posters here weren't part of this online MG community back when Matt was a regular participant over on the metro, but he was pretty fiercely a pain in the ass to have around on whatever board's he was posting on. I'm kind of glad he's not doing the blog anymore nor posting on any boards. He gets too involved with it and should just get back to doing what we all want him to do, you know, write a good record.
  19. I like Matt too, but if you think there are few people that are as good or better than Matt you need to do yourself a favour and listen to some other music. I don't want to start a flame war or whatever but there's tons of bands out there that even in just the last few years have been just as good or better than what Matts producing now. I don't know what you like but just try something new.
  20. He actually only sings one line near the end of the first verse fromw hat I remember. He plays guitar on the track. I believe it's Trevor Hurst (of Econoline Crush) and Bif Naked who do the vocals primarily on the track.
  21. thsi is probably the best post I've read on this board so far.
  22. Easliest I ever saw him was Underdogs. I can't imagine, given the quality of LOTGA, that I was missing anything.
  23. Shine a Light was better than matt's last two albums by far. Such a good band
  24. i've got something like 28 shows under my belt now. I couldn't remember half of the when/where's. But I averaged 3 shows a tour for the last 5 tours I believe.
