  1. Is it just me or does the chorus for the acoustic rendition of Last Parade sound just like Generation X-Wing? =o
  2. not gonna lie, i'm more interested in a straight up alt-rock album....maybe it's the fact that WLRRR never grew on me....
  3. Memento, by Christopher Nolan. Excellent stuff =)
  4. He's getting there. I think it was too early for him to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, but hey, he's got it. Maybe it'll encourage him to go further and beyond in his work?
  5. I definitely agree. Releasing the show would be a great thing to have happen =)
  6. Or write more interesting drum parts. I'm assuming it's intentional as the demos have the same sound and what not. There is little difference on Last Parade, whether you're listening to the demo or the song itself.
  7. Running For Home and Generation X-Wing are two songs I'd like to hear. I remember Matt mentioning in a blog post last year the amount of songs he and the band could play depended on the time they rehearsed and how much they already knew. So I'm definitely hoping we get a more varied setlist this time around = )
  8. I remember the same happening a few years back for Hospital Music, too.
  9. If The Boy Who Could Explode didn't have such a big massive sound to it, I could really see it being on Hospital Music, it has the same feel to it that a lot of songs from that album did. Listening to Great Whales of the Sea. Listening to Matt's vocals in the intro, I keep expecting him to switch into a German accent after hearing that joke outtake he posted on the site. >< This is a solid album. Definitely appreciate the flow on it = D. It seems like a hybrid of Hospital Music and Avalanche, the good elements.
  10. Quote from the site... =o So he's going to do a quick tour of the US, it seems?
  11. Where'd you find these? I can't find these dates on the main site. Looking forward to it. I wonder if Matt is still using the same band as the last tour? I'm hoping so =)
  12. Here's an article interviewing the MGB (sans Matt) about the making of the Audio of Being. link Another one about Beautiful Midnight (link). Although this one is a bit too nerdy, there might be some use for it. Enjoy =)
  13. "If you had 5 NF dollars and Matt Good had 5 NF dollars, Matt Good has more money than you."
  14. i really think this could work. i mean, people DID record covers for the last project as aforementioned, it's just the guy disappeared for no absolute reason after putting the project off for so long. i'm definitely down for this. sign a bit, maybe do keyboard =)
  15. I really dig that live version of Load Me Up from a few years back that segued into Generation X-Wing. And the version that involved a riff from some old 70s tune...
  16. I hear a solo. That's it.
  17. I'm just wondering, where is this "reporter-sounding guy ask[ing] Matthew" from?
  18. Maybe. I just noticed it and they haven't done it before. So it sounds positive to me.
  19. One thing I've noticed: A good majority of Matt Good's videos were recently uploaded to the universalmusicgroup channel on youtube. They even have a version of Load Me Up with commentary.
  20. I love these guys. Makes me wonder what's going to happen to them without Steve ;)
  21. Hey Geoff, I just wanted to say this is kind of cool for you to do, answering people's questions about stuff and hanging around the forums. That said, I have a question. What inspired you, Matt, and everyone else to make a record like Underdogs? Underdogs and LOTGA sound like they were made by two completely different bands, at times. What got you wanting to change your sound like that?
  22. This is good news. Glad to hear it's showing up
  23. Blur - He Thought of Cars
  24. Okay, so how is it not?
  25. This is an interesting idea.
