What i meant actually was not that they were faslified at all. The DNA showed that they did get raped, the police just didn't go forward with the investigation. I'm sure there has been cases where women have falsified reports, but im sure there are also times when the police have been negligent, that's what the presentation was about, and that is surprisingly what i have read within law textbooks as well.

The sad part is, that it is well documented in a lot of women's organizations ( i just had a presentation about this two days ago in my law class) that a lot of pedo's don't get charged. It's weird, because if there is no legal way for these young women to have consented to sex, why haven't more charges been placed on pedo's who are accused of doing these actions? One of the main reasons is cops don't find young women "credible" theres apparently several cases where the DNA shows that the young woman was raped but her credibility is in question. If you look at the amount of evidence you also need to gather before placing a charge of sexual abuse its actually quite larger then most other charges.

Yah i think we are dealing with foilhat stuff here, but it's also one of these types of situation's that should just have a full inquiry into it to answer all the questions raised. A lot of these are legit question and we should never doubt questioning something simply to believe the official line of a story. The way we learn more about things is questioning, so i really don't think we should get dismissive in our thoughts as to call them conspiracy theories unless you can prove they have no basis. Since no body has yet proven these things true or false nobody can say anything really.

I love how stupid forwards like this get passed around which have nothing at all to do with anything and just fuel conspiracy nut-bag's when there are ACTUAL unanswered questions about 9/11 that are worth investigating rationally. For example this.

Id say set down a specific time to get something done and follow through just once. If you follow through once, then you will usually get a lot completed, and since you started something, you'll want to get it finished and set down more time to finish it up. I dunno thats what i do, because i hate leaving unfinished projects. This may or may not apply to you at all.

Definatly good points Graham. Im not one for "gangsta-rap", i dont really know what that is, but i usually call rappers who are idiots gangsta rappers. I think there are some (few) good rappers, like Talib Kweli, he doesnt make a ton of money but he puts what he does have (not just money but time) into poor areas and where he grew up and what not. K-os is good, K'naan i sorta like but i havent heard much other then his single. Immortal Technique is really awsome, i dont know if you guys have heard of these rappers, but there not really that huge and famous ( other then Talib and K-os). Anyway, i think theres really good rap out there that is full of talent, usually by the lyrics you can tell if its going to be good. If it starts with: " I banged my hoe and shot up my friends and slapped some old women in the face" then you're best bet is that it sucks, and is probably done by 50-Cent. If its about cooperative self-determination and freedom etc like Dead Prez ( another awsome rap group) then you're getting into the quality.

haha Graham i have all kinds of idea's but of course they all basically have to do with radically changing our economic system. We can end poverty in Canada by switching some of our production of crops. The amount of space used to raise cattle, if replaced with crops that yield more nutritional forms of substinance such as soya, different forms of non-meat products ( no i dont have anything against meat but we eat entirely too much of it) could feel all the starving familes in the third world. The problem is not lack of food, its the distribution of food. We've had the ability to end world hunger for many years we just don't because their isnt money in saving human life. Thats just food. In terms of poverty, we'd have to have a controlled economy, not free market, free market basically requires some to be out of work. Not to mention that we need to pay real wages, not 7 bucks an hour, if we are to maintain the standard of living with the amount of inflation. There are alternatives, we just need to think them up ;)

For sure, id have to see the Maclean's article, and since this is from a cop he has kind of a bias, and a vested interest in getting more police officers on the beat, so id for sure have to see the article. I dont think theres really one overall way to defeat crime, or for that matter one society in which crime doesnt exist. Even in the most egalitarian of societies crime exists, they just deal with it differently.
