Why don't you just move in while you're at it ! (I'm only jealous)
-
Exact same here^ Bought it for our dad but I've been playing it more than he has (as I knew I would). I particularly like the rolling limbs that constantly put the fucking shits up you - thinking they're getting back up again. In dire need of bullets like.

What Did You Last Watch On Tv?

Jonathan Creek Christmas special. ;) -
No, cos they don't offer either of the points I said really, do they ? It's just a bloke (or woman - equality whooo!!) reading that same book aloud; hardly an adaptation. I doubt they do anything drastic for exposure either, although it is easier to listen to one, I'll give you that.

I completely disagree. A lot of great stories out there will go unread by millions purely on the basis they can't be arsed reading them - it's obviously much easier to sit and watch a film than it is to read a novel. For me it's always interesting to see how close your envisions of characters and environments to be is to how the author intended.

Black Sheep, I think ? Nowhere near as funny as I was hoping it to be.

Where are the similarities there ? Manic Street Preachers - La Tristesse Durera (Scream to a Sigh). -
Ah, that's a shitter. How much did you pay for it like ? Ordered it shortly after posting that. Wonder how long it'll take...

Such a tremendous loss it's heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to all the poor families of the deceased. ;) -
Fully agreed. Like you're sat in a plane with headphones in; you can hear the noises from the plane while it gradually builds up and BOOM... ;)

^Yeah, great job.

Yeah, of course. But it would have been much harder to condemn Israel if the death counts were in any way comparable.

I confuse Regina Spektor with Tori Amos, which probably shows how little I know about either. I tried Let It Die but never really got into it. Catchy Ipod jingle ftw then... -

A choice of hosts, innit: Cos I'm good like that. -
Yeah, this is a little late. Massive overreaction by Israel; it's not helping them whatsoever. I'd type more but I'm running late for uni.

^Did you watch the Christmas special then ? I remember this ! Though I can't say I've had the pleasure of watching it on Swiss TV. It's not the type of programme I'd go out of my way to watch, but if I caught it I'd sit and watch it. As with everything I've seen from Aardman it's really cleverly done. Embedding's been disabled though: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=P3AAdkfiamU Oh and while getting that I noticed there's a re-dub on there with the Iraq War being the question proposed, it's really quite well-done. -
Recently Attended Shows!
LonelyWreckage replied to MissEmily's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
My two most recent were Ryan Adams and the Cardinals in early November and Stereophonics again, mid-December. First time I'd seen Ryan so it was pretty special, although I'd have liked to hear more of his solo-work and his setlist was one of the shortest, if not THE shortest of the tour. The venue was really peculiar too. I did have a ticket for The Music who were playing my local Town Hall in October but stupidly missed it (still fucking gutted about it to this day !). Hopefully Blur will book a concert 'oop North soon, cos I can't be fucked travelling to London again, not even to see them re-unite. -
