  1. i will go with vermillion, i believe he says arriba.
  2. a few points about comparing the us and canadian versions of beautiful midnight. first, your tracklist for the us one, there is also a regular us version, not just clean version.... i have both. second, hello time bomb is not the only song remixed. remixing is evident on load me up also, the feedback(i think it's feedback) guitar part after the lead solo, is way louder, and the guitar tone sounds different/crunchier during the 'i'm frantic....' section. and if i'm not mistaken, according to the album credits, deep six, strange days and automatic are all 'remixed'. new wave is a definite favorite of mine. that song made an immediate impact upon listening to bm, the sonic atmosphere of the song, it seemed so desperate, just fantastic. trading that for deep six sucks. however, apparitions and automatic for let's get it on, and going all the way. i like all four of those songs, and the album is meant to have all the way, and let's get it on, but i don't die without them like i do new wave. and for someone just getting to know mg, how fucking awesome is the album with the us tracklisting, it's got more singles than it knows what to do with. so the us version is a hit factory, and a couple of those remixes are great, but the integrity of the album is sacrificed... so you choose to preserve the album in it's original form.
  3. if you saw the avalanche tour at all, you saw near fantastica, and it was awesome. i think the avalanche shows were my favorite i've seen matt do ever. near fantastica, to me is also perhaps the best song i've seen him do live. it's definitely top 5. workers sing a song is way way up there too for favorite songs i've seen him do. I love matt's performances with consistency, but what i wouldn't give to see him do vermillion, man of action, or sort of a protest live. i'd pay 100$ if he just played those three songs.
  4. i suppose your right about the set length man. we were spoiled as fans during the avalanche era, with the shows ( the ones i saw at least) coming in at two plus hours usually.
  5. I think it is a pretty good set list, considering it's short length. An encore of giant and load me up, that is a massive up note to leave things on.. I am certain i would leave the concert buzzing if he closes that way in winnipeg. i'm not the most old school fan, definitely ten plus years...and when i hear load me up, as a single, that is still such a great song and I am glad he still reps it. I personally like it more than tracks like htb or automatic. It is always nice to see anything from audio of being, but i don't exoect that at all. I would trade out empty's for vancouver national anthem. i would drop apparitions for strange days (if that is the type of song he is wanting to do in that slot) I am not huge on black helicopter or silent army in the trees. I would rather a virtually unlimited host of other options over those. I agree with whoever said he should bust out near fantastica. Of all the live songs i've seen him do, that is truly one of the best. I also miss the avalanche era touring group. Christian Thorvaldson (i think that was his name) is great live. as they rehearsed it, I also expect to see alert status red in the set, unfortunately i think it will likely replace one of load me up or time bomb, and i would bet it probably replaces load me up. I think that sucks.
