How's God is an Astronaut? I heard Dust and Echoes after downloading a compilation from soundless_space. I thought that was an awesome song.

When I say instrumental I'm not being specific whatsoever. I simply mean anything without vocals. I generally prefer post-rock but I'll try anything.

Yeah, I've also been recommended Dirty Three before. I heard Ocean Songs is a great album.

I'm pretty new to instrumental bands. I've recently discovered Explosions in the Sky and I think they are incredible. I want to see what other instrumental bands people listen too. So just post ones that you like or recommend me a few. Thanks ;)

Okay. I've narrowed it down to the following songs. Sort of a Protest Song Near Fantastica Suburbia Fated Strangest One Of All Look Happy it's the end of the world At the time I'm really considering Suburbia. I live in a shitty little town and it might appeal to some of my audience.

Near Fantastica has that exact same effect on me as well. Makes me feel really nostalgic.

Man From Harold Wood - Our Man

Well with philosophy there really is no definite answer to anything right? So really just whatever song you guys think has the deepest meaning or significance.

We've been given an assignment to choose a song with deep philosophical undertones. We then pass out copies of the lyrics and play the song in class. Afterwards we are to discuss the meaning or significance behind the song. I can't really decide what song would be best for this. I'd really appreciate any suggestions provided with some type of reasoning. Thanks in advance. ;)
