Matt, if you look into the strymon el capistan, it can simulate the space echo beautifully and accepts expression on any assigned parameter, meaning you could change the delay time in real time with your foot during the song. Per capo, the spider capo might be worth looking at, it specializes for alternate tuning... http://www.spidercapo.com Either way, I think your version was great, and I really hope you will consider another acoustic tour.

That was a fantastic show, I can see where casual fans might have gotten lost as there is almost no hits played. There was some technical issues and a few occasions where Matt got stuck on lyrics, but that's going to happen when he plays relatively unrehearsed songs with a lot of deep cut tracks. Unfortunately it sounded like Matt had to leave right after the show to make it back for the Vancouver show, so no autographs. I would definitely say that this was typical acoustic show in that there were lots of banter, lots of less commonly played tracks, and a lot more communication with the audience. Overall it's a great show and you guys in Vancouver are going to probably have a much smoother set based on the fact that he was able to play through a couple tracks in Calgary to get them right. I didn't recognize omissions of the omen when he played in the encore, awesome to hear that and a boy and his machine gun.

You are right, how time flies, lol

First time I met matt was on the vancouver tour iirc. Knowing he was a huge fan of the film Brazil (the movie that inspired the Carmelina video), I managed to track down a replica of the mask used for the torture scenes. He was incredibly excited when he got it, and told me how he would use that movie as a litmus test for dating women when he was younger. It was awesome giving something back to the guy who's music has done so much for me, and seeing him getting that excited over a piece of his past. Shane picked up the amp I bough off him, apparently got to hear some awesome stories when he did.

Not huge on the venue, but I will be there for calgary

If it is the meltdown part, that is a self oscillating analog delay pedal, similar to the hello time bomb solo that dave genn did. Any analog delay can do this, along with many other delays, fuzz medals, etc., essentially the repeats feed back into the clean signal, causing it to overload, and get that awesome, boiling and torn up tape type sound. It's quite fun, though most people who are casual music fans HATE it. Here is an example I found on youtube...

Favourite Song Or Songs Off Arrows Of Desire?
finboy replied to AndroidsDungeon's topic in Matthew Good
arrows of desire or mutineering are both great, its hard to choose because it was a really solid album though. -
i would love to see an acoustic professional recorded show, the live recordings I have from the HM tour are great. unfortunatley I don't see the stage banter making it through the final pressing.

Awesome show! The crowd surfers were dicks, one nearly crushed a poor girl , she went down hard during the last song. Had fun chatting with lance, that guy has stories for days. Thanks again to Matt and the band/crew for swinging through!

going to the stampede show, trying to figure out if i can get anything signed but i'm kind of doubting it based on the venue. either way, $12.50 for a matt good concert is a hell of a deal!

It is restricted by country apparently, I am guessing UMG Canada are involved with that

It's strange, part 2 isn't showing up in your videos on your channel for me, any chance you could post a direct link to the vid?

That silver one is awesome, will definitely have to keep my eyes open for one!

Awesome upload! I hope UMG doesn't pull them down, I love the snowjob footage. Watching the edge fest footage, rachel sucked as a much music vj, that was just painful. Any chance you can reap load day in the life part 2? Also, just to make sure these don't get lost in the shuffle again, any chance you could post drop box links to the files in the upload thread?

I usually stare at people in a dumbfounded fashion when they say they prefer Rufus wainrights version of hallelujah. Grace is near perfect, and sketches could have turned into a great album. -

Avalanche seems like a no brainer at this point -
I think this is the highest non-falsetto note on Matt's recordings, I believe g# or an a, either way, it's up there. Man of action and wwwhr is a step below that (I think fine art of falling apart as well)
