whilst listening to the song, i was thinking about the us election. it parallels the election.. this party is cold and uninviting (republicans) participants all in black and white (bush) you enter in full-blown technicolour (kerry nothing is the same after tonight (election) it is a hot song. well not hot, but.. still turns you on. its weird.

i argued this issue with some christian conservatives. it must be said that you can do just about anything to a gay person in an attempt to make them straight, but it won't work. banning gay marriage is not a preventitive measure at all. the sactity of marriage is already down the drain. we're the ones that implemented this formal ceremony for marriages, so its not like we can't change it. i cannot believe how willing people are to force their beliefs on other people. if someone os going to become a christian, its between them and God, none of our business. theres nothing we can do for them aside from telling them our christian truth. maybe im a horrible christian for respecting other peoples' beliefs but i'd rather be a crappy christian then pushing it on other people (which is what i would consider to be a crappy christian.)
