  1. Plus i think, Matt changed so much after the breakup, an if you didn't like the new Matt then you weren't a fan anymore.
  2. Lots of his books turned into Movies The Firm (w/ Tom Cruise) The Pelican Brief (w/ Julia Roberts and Denzel W.) The Chamber A Time To Kill
  3. I think Morgan Freeman is phenomenal!!!! Love him!!!!
  4. Any fans of John Grisham? Favorite book of his? Criticisms?
  5. Ya i'd say that's pretty accurate. Those who were fans before the breakup and not after the breakup, weren't really matthew good fans at all...they should have known him better then that.
  6. I remember before the announcement of the Vancouver concert, there were complaints about the Alberta concerts being a few dollars more expensive. I went to the one in Calgary. The ticket was $35 + all the service fees and delivery, but i thought that was really cheep. The most i ever paid for a concert was $100 for floor seats to Metallica... And I thought that was cheep. The biggest rip off to me was paying $83 for nose bleed seats to see Destiny's Child on the TRL tour, which was there first headlining tour. I can't image what they were after their huge success.
  7. Matt seemed to lose a lot of fans right after the break up of MGB? Why is that? Did he look like the bad guy?
  8. Is that the only reason why it's a few dollars more...because it's in the Commodore?
  9. well i don't know, but this is what i read on the official site today Take it as you may
  10. Lately, some have complained about the price of the Vancouver show being too steep? ($40 + fees) Is it really? How much are you willing to pay?
  11. My parents are planning a trip to Vancouver for the first week of august. And i previously told them that i didn't want to go because i have to work and save money for school. But when i heard Matt was playing Aug. 5, i changed my mind...the sucky thing is that one day later my friend invited me out to Montreal, and i couldn't pass that up, b/c i've never been there before and this will be the only opportunity for me to to see Quebec. Thank God Matt is thinking about doing another tour.
  12. yes. For sure!!! ;)

    Sing Along

at the last mg concert i went to, Matt was play apparitions solo, and my brother was singing along, he and said the word 'apparitions' 5 seconds before Matt did. And he did it really loud just to embarrass me...well he succeeded...he just though it was funny...i just told him to shut the fuck up because he was ruining the song.
  14. along side my collage i want to hang all my new MG merchandise...that way my whole wall will be covered...and when i get that done i will definately post a picture... ...this is one reason why i'm MG crazy!!! ;)
  15. I think everybody's mood and tastes change...Obviously Matt want's to express his different moods and tastes in music by creating such different, yet equally beautiful albums. Hell even manufactured artist's like Britney Spears have different tastes and moods in her albums. I think that's the business...otherwise people would get bored.
  16. This is definately true. And to add, i'm glad that i live in Canada...even though i was a victim in a school shooting, i still feel safer here.
  17. Ya i used to chat on thebrokenrecord a lot, but i recently found this one...and i keep coming back. I love this forum!
  18. We do know a lot about him, but that's the way it goes when you write such personal songs. I've had the privelege to meet him twice, but i only got to talk with him for a couple minutes (b/c he's pressed for time) But i honestly think that he wants to know a lot about his fans. I think he's very interested in people's opinions. That's why he is open to emails and forums.
  19. he definately loves and appreciates his fans...except when they chip his teeth.
  20. I guess since i started this topic i must my tell my crazy story... ....I was sitting in my University lecture, and after a little break we were going to start presentations. During the break i looked at my cell phone and noticed that my mother phoned. So i phoned her back and said that i got an email from Matt Good saying that i won a contest to attend the soundcheck and Meet Matt in Calgary. Well i go to school in Lethbridge which is about 2 hours south of Calgary. In order to attend i had to meet at "the Whiskey" (location of the concert) at 4pm. Well when i talked to my mom it was 1:45pm. So needless to say i ditched the presentation and went home and packed (cause i was staying at my brothers house). I made it right on time...with no speeding tickets. The sucky part is that i spent hours and hours on a presentation just to receive 0%. I'm happy to report i passed the class (barely...the presentation was worth 17.5% of final grade.) So i have no regrets whatsoever. I had to do it, because it was my first chance to meet Matt, and i didn't know when an opportunity like this would happen again.
  21. yes definately crazy in my books.
  22. yes definately a lot happier. I think that he changed after the band broke up...he seems a lot more mature now too. I respect him more now, as an artist and as a human being...He went through alot of shit, but i think he has over come it.
  23. And i must add that i enjoy this forum very much. Love the idea of the NF$. ;) Back on topic...come on you crazy people lets hear it.
  24. How matt is able to create different moods and a variety of sounds is absolutely fantastic. That definately makes him a true artist. I bet you my opinion on which album i like better will change in the future...i guess it depends on the mood i'm in. And how long since it's been since i listen to it...i just listened to BM for the first time in about 9 months, and it's probably my favorite right now. But that will change too.
  25. Some people will do anything for MG, even fly half way across the world. What have you done (crazy or not) for MG?
