  1. Sure, why not. First off, I only heard rumors of what was posted. People can be cruel, insentive a-holes. As someone who has been a fan for nearly 20 years, I feel I can speak freely on this and with the ability to back it up. Matt is a lyrical and musical genius. I would gladly argue I am one of his biggest fans in the U.S. However, when you open yourself up, especially your personal life on social media...you can expect a backlash. Then he goes and removes himself from NF a while later because he felt it was too invasive in his personal life. No big deal. I remove myself from social media quite a bit as well, as it’s overwhelming. That being said, you cannot have your cake and eat it too. Matthew Good posted about his social life frequently and then gets pissed when someone takes it too far. That being said, deactivating your accounts and cowering isn’t much of a defense. Why not block the prick? Why not make a fool out of him in turn? We all know Matthew Good isn’t shy and doesn’t hold back his feelings. My whole point is that if you open your personal life up on social media, as he did...you have to expect an occasional a-hole to try and take it too far. I hope for his sake that he comes back. I love his music and his thoughts, even though I frequently disagree with his politics, I greatly, greatly respect his opinion. He’s a smart man. I hope he can get over this and get a thicker skin.
  2. Very cool...small world. Not many US fans but the ones that know the music are usually diehard fans. Stumbling across beautiful midnight in a littl record shop is one of the most important musical discoveries in my life. I’m from the suburbs of York, where are you from? Hope you enjoy the vinyl release
  3. They are available on Matthew Good's website if that is what you are referring to. They have been on Amazon's Canadian site for several weeks. I am in Pennsylvania and ordered all three. AOB and LA said they will be available at the end of April but Avalanche will not be until the last week of May. My guess is that all three will ship at the end of May. Avalanche looks like it's holding the rest up.
  4. ...I don’t know about this one. I’m tempted to go but the 8 hour drive from southern Pennsylvania to Toronto in March could be treacherous. As much as I enjoy OLP...I don’t know I want to see them share a show with one of the greatest artists of recent time.
  5. An OLP and MG co-headline show maybe will hit the US for some dates. That’d be sweet for us US fans. Anyone think it’s plausible? Given, OLP has a decent following here. MG not so much. Anyway, I’m hoping for a few shows here. It’s been years since I didn’t have to cross the border to see him and the band.
  6. A free show in Niagara Falls is definitely tempting. It's still a 7 hour drive from my home in Pennsylvania, so I will probably sit this one out. It seems like Niagara Falls or Hamilton is going to be the closest shows he plays any more. Have fun to everyone going.
  7. One King West. I love that hotel. The service is excellent, easy valet parking and a clean and beautiful building. It is pricey.
  8. For those who are members, there are currently 4 active seeding Matthew Good DVDs on Dimeadozen. FYI.
  9. No dates for the US. Even a Buffalo date would be nice.
  10. The acoustic shows are definitely more interesting, at least to me. I have to say though...nothing beats the full band shows. I saw you in Philadelphia on the Vancouver tour and recently went to Hamilton for the latest tour. While Philadelphia was a good show, Hamilton was so much better. You all have grown so much as a band. I know it's a financial drain to perform in the U.S., but hopefully we can get some acoustic shows at least on the East Coast again. You can always pack that "strip-club-looking" venue in NYC, Joe's Pub, again.
  11. I cannot, cannot, cannot recommend the Drive-By Truckers enough. I'm a newer fan but have seen them 7 times in less than 3 years. Enough said. They have went from a no-name band to me to a top 5. Everyone should know them! For those of you going to the Ontario shows, have a blast! I wish I could make it but with a little one on the way an 8 hour drive, plus border traffic is out of the question. I suckered the wife into the Hamilton show last winter so I can't complain!
  12. Sure wish we could get some shows in the US. I fear those days are done.
  13. Nickelback should not even be in the same list!!! Some American humor for you. The United States gave the world George Bush. Canada gave the world Nickelback. I'd say we are even!
  14. Thanks for listing the link. I shit you not...I've checked it almost daily and saw the "Sold Out" text. You posted that link and it went right through. Ordered it! $30-$40 is very pricey here in the states for a single vinyl. Most double vinyl retail around $24-$29. So when I saw $50 with shipping I canceled the order. Thanks to you good sir I will now own this great record!
  15. Thanks you two! Unfortunately the one doesn't ship to the U.S. The other does but would be close to $50 with shipping. For one vinyl album that's insane.
  16. Hey everyone, Any chance one of you has a copy of Chaotic Neutral on vinyl you'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price? I saw one online today for $45 but decided I refuse to pay that for a single vinyl. I figured I would try and see if anyone happened to buy 2 or 3 or 4 and was saving them for a rainy day. If so, just let me know.
  17. So mine just arrived today. I think they sound great so far, I have no complaints. Omissions being skipped is my only complaint...and that's kinda what makes the first album worth having.
  18. Check your PM mrtruffle
  19. Thanks. I agree with everything but the Foo analogy. Saw them three times and never paid over $50, including the show at Madison Square Garden. $200 is a stretch.
  20. I have to ask (and this question is open to anyone who wants to give feedback) and I realize it's controversial. I, for one would pay top dollar to see a show in a small venue and I'm sure Matthew Good would have no problem selling out every show even in the $100-$150 price range. I would definitely pay top dollar to see Beautiful Midnight in its entirety. I don't understand what length of the show has to do with ticket price. If a band had to come to Toronto (for example) to play, what does it matter if they play 2 hours for $50 or 3 hours for $50? When I think back to that tour in Philadelphia, the show lasted about 1 hour with an encore..maybe and 1 and 10 max but that'd be pushing it. If you're going to drag all your band members and gear across the states, do the sound check, pay all the travel expenses, why not go big and play a full length show? I remember asking Matthew Good this question on his full band American tour in 2010 when his shows were like 10-11 songs with an encore. I was told (in a nicer manner obviously) that tickets were only like $20 and that longer shows demand a higher ticket price. I dunno...I don't get it. I'm a huge Drive-By Truckers fan, although I don't know how big they are in Canada, but they sell well in the states and are one of the best rock bands of the last 20 years. Tickets range $20-$30 and you'll get some shows that are 2 hours and some are 3 hours and 15 minutes...ticket prices did not effect the length of the show. To each their own I guess. I would love to see longer shows but if the prices were escalated because they were going to play "longer" and not because it was an intimate show, I would probably feel like the artist was only playing longer for the money, not because they wanted to. Anyway, not trying to ruffle feathers, just putting it out there.
  21. Any chance of you playing some shows south of the Canadian border? That drive from south PA to Hamilton was brutal. I had a blast in Hamilton though. Best show I saw you do. Glad the year was good to you.
  22. Every Name Is My Name
  23. Merry Christmas to me. Just ordered all of the vinyl releases. I am probably the only one in the USA crazy enough to drop $160 on them.
  24. Did Chaotic Neutral sell out or is it delayed?
