I always cry when I watch this movie. I just love it to bits, for some reason. I've been a fan of Winona Ryder ever since Beetlejuice. She has such expressive eyes. I like all the supporting actors in this movie, too, and how all their characters have their own little back stories. Polly's suicide scene is heart-wrenching. Angelina Jolie is very intense in this movie. Jenna.

here comes a huge rant. i feel passionatly about this issue and there is no way i would ever, under any circumstances, have an abortion. Like I said, it's my opinion. It's all well and good that you, yourself, would not have an abortion. I support your decision if that is what you believe is right for yourself. You have different morals, and I can respect that, but I would never allow that to interfere with my own decisions. first, i must stress that as soon as the fetus starts growing (when egg and sperm meet) you have made a person. it is no longer your body. you have almost been asked to babysit for 9 months and make sure the child doesn't get hurt. Again, all of this is your opinion. It is good that you have a firm set of beliefs for yourself, but I do not believe that an unthinking lump of tissue in my uterus is more important than my health. You call it a baby, I call it tissue. To me, it's still my body. I would not give anyone the right to make laws about what I can and cannot do to it. it is not necessary for women. there are plenty of options. and as for costs, in canada we have a good health care program. other countries don't have it so great, but giving birth is going to happen whether or not you have the money to pay for it and governments do understand this. It is not necessary for you. If I want to finish high school, it would be necessary for me to have an abortion. Again, I support your decision to carry the child if you stumble or deliberately plop yourself down in that situation, but your life does not apply to mine. As for those other options, they're covered in my post above. i also stress that if you are not willing to become pregnant, do not have sex. that may seem difficult to do for some, but you can't jump into things assuming that you will be able to escape consequence-free. and if you are in a healthy sexually active relationship, you won't have to be a 'single mother' persay. if you'redating someone whos gonna skip town when you see the test is positive, hes not mature enough to be having sex with. Again, all of this might apply to you. Personally, I find the "only have sex if you are willing to get pregnant" idea absurd. I am of the "It is my body and I'll do what I want with it" crowd. Contraception was created for a reason. Yes, it is not fool-proof. However, it is very effective in most cases. It is my belief that abortion clinics should be open to those who fell into that __% margin of error. adoption is hard to do. but ultamitely, the mother must do whats best for the child. they have load sof pre and post birth guidance programs to help make these type of decisions. However, it is my belief that the woman's welfare comes before the child's. This especially applies, in my opinion, to teen pregancies. just think about that baby you aborted. What if I don't believe I've aborted a baby? What if it is my belief that I have just had an unwanted piece of tissue removed from an organ? you may have killed the next prime minister. and he/she could have been a decent one too! this might not mean much to many people here, but what would have happened if mary had aborted Jesus? Then someone else of that era would have gotten famous for the same reasons he did, and we'd be calling Jimmy or Herman or Albert the Lord instead of Jesus. Or maybe not. Maybe we'd still be running around like barbarians sellings our daughters into slavery and stoning people to death for being prostitutes - oh wait, that's still going on. But it wouldn't really matter, because we wouldn't even be having this conversation. there is no way someone can add 'baby murderer' to their life resumes and consider themselves better off. so many women will get to the point where they want to bear children and deeply regret aborting earlier pregnanies. I don't consider abortion murder. But I do know several women who have had abortions, and they tell me their lives are better because of it. If they'd had those children at the time, their lives would not have been as good as they are now. A few of these women have children now. None of them tell me they regret their abortions. It is likely that there are women who do regret having abortions. But for the women who truly believe it improved or even saved their lives, I do not see how it is good to take away their rights. or if mrs. lennon had aborted john? it might not seem like a big deal btu taking a life is taking life, whether they be 3 weeks old or 30 years old. If John Lennon's mother's health or general well-being was at risk because of her pregnancy, I would have supported her decision to have an abortion. I'm not a fan of these hypothetical situation things, because they seem so irrelevant. So history would have taken a different course, and we'd be in a different place today. We wouldn't even be having this discussion. Jenna.

I believe in a woman's right to choose. I am anti-abortion and pro-choice. I don't think that abortions are wonderful things, or that everyone should have one. I also don't think it is fair to the woman to force her to bear a child. Abortion should be legal and available. It is not the place of the law to decide what I do with my body. That's freakishly Orwellian. Don't like abortion? That's all well and good. You don't have to have one for yourself. It is necessary for some women. If you think it's wrong and you get pregnant, keep the baby. Abortions should be performed within the first trimester of pregnancy. This time is the safest and the least messy. People make mistakes. Contraceptives can fail, by chance or by misuse. Often, the cause of misuse is ignorance, which is why I am fully against abstinence-only sexual education in school. I am fifteen years old. If I accidently get pregnant, I'm not going to keep the baby. Adoption? People throw around this option and still completely disregard the feelings of the mother. A lot of people overlook the fact that it's very easy to get attached to a baby that's growing inside of you for nine months. And even then, the child is unlikely to live a particularily good life. The results of many teen pregancies are black or mixed race babies. The majority of parents adopting are looking only for white babies. Adoption is still a path you can take, but I don't think it's in the best interests of the mother or the child. People seem to forget the nine months of carrying around the child inside of you, plus medical costs, etc. It's extremely hard to give up your baby. Now, personally? I hate it when abortion is used repeatedly as a belated form of birth control. However, there is no way to determine how someone got pregnant - broken condem, failed oral contraception, rape, etc. - so this is completely irrelevant. This is a moral issue, and not an issue of whether or not abortion should be legal. In my opinion, a fetus is not alive in the first few weeks of pregnancy. To me, it is not yet a person. After the first trimester, the fetus has developed far more, and begins to 'quicken'. As I believe has already been mentioned, it may be true that a fetus has the potential to become a person. But if the mother feels her life would be better off if she had an abortion, I would support her. And that's where I stand on abortion. Jenna.

Postman Pat, Postman Pat Postman Pat and his black and white cat... Did you watch this show when you were younger? I remember watching this British clay-mation children's series every day, but I don't remember why. It wasn't particularily amusing. Postman Pat and his creepy cat delivered mail. Sometimes there was a plot. Maybe I just watched it for that rockin' theme song. Did you watch this show when you were little? Can you remember back that far? Did they even play this show in the States? Jenna.

Oooh, one of my favourite-ist movies EVER! Donnie Darko is definitely at the top of my list. It's quite cool, and really makes you think. The first time I saw it, it made me dizzy. I quite love it. It's got so many great quotes, too. Like the Smurfs thing. First of all, Papa Smurf didn't create Smurfette. Gargamel did. She was sent in as Gargamel's evil spy with the intention of destroying the Smurf village, but the overwhelming goodness of the Smurf way of life transformed her. And as for the whole gang-bang scenario, it just couldn't happen. Smurfs are asexual. They don't even have reproductive organs under those little white pants. That's what's so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What's the point of living if you don't have a dick? And the best-est quote ever: Donnie: Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit? Frank: Why are you wearing that stupid man suit? Heheh. Have you been to the site? It's quite cool. Jenna.

I'm poor. I think it's too expensive... Especially having to deal with overpriced snacks, sticky floors, and obnoxious teenagers. Wonder why I don't go to the movies more often... Jenna.

I don't mind the commercials, since I hardly ever watch TV. Jenna.

Everytime I see your face I think of things not pure and chaste. I want to fuck you like a dog, I'll take you home and make you like it. Everything you ever wanted, Everything you ever thought of, is Everything I'll do to you, I'll fuck you and your girlfriend, too. Your face reminds me of a flower Kind of like you're underwater: Hair's too long and in your eyes Your lips a perfect "suck me" size. You act like you're fourteen years old. Everything you say is so Obnoxious, funny, crude and mean. I want to be your blowjob queen. Hm. Yeah. ;) Liz is great. Jenna. -
