For some reason, I keep thinking of cynical love songs (La La Love You by Pixies), but the one genuine love song I can think of right now is Glycerine by Bush. I don't actually know what the song is about, but I percieve it to be about love.

I think people (including myself) feel the need to lie because they are afraid of what people would say if they told them the truth. Yes? But when people lie to you it absolutely sucks. I know the feeling well.

The charts seem strange... I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who listens to Taking Back Sunday and Say Anything from this message board, and they were in the "Top Tracks" ;) The numbers next to the artist/songs were quite low, so I'm not sure how long they've represented us?

They were on SNL last night - my dad recorded it. They performed a new song, and then New Slang. Both were really good. I'd never seen them perform live before. Anyway, the new song sounded nice. I don't know what it was called, but I don't think it was the single (Phantom Limb?)

Just curious... you've heard The Shins and Brand New? I took a listen to Fair To Midland. They were good. But I'll have to hear more to say I like them more than Brand New or The Shins. What are some of your favourites by them?
